Day 4 Done!
My lowest Harmony dimension: emotional health. Doing the three questions in the AI ADHD assessment is really driving home the fact that I’ve been trying to build on a crumbling foundation for decades. And I recognize that I really need to work on building myself back up and healing the wounds that have occurred over all this time. If Anybody else feels constantly empty, and flat, despite trying so hard to improve their lives I would recommend having a look at your foundation. And yes. If you are dealing with depression and need medical help, that’s one thing and please do that - but I’ve done all that and still been facing it to this day. I feel like I have never unearthed the root cause, and finally I’m starting to get to the root cause after a lifetime feeling this way.
Wind-down pattern I noticed: I always thought I had insomnia, but I think what I have had is a severe case of revenge bedtime procrastination.
Morning pattern I noticed: since taking the first five day challenge, I have improved my morning routine by having the non-negotiable of no phone for the first 30 minutes and my coffee. I also make sure I open the curtains in my room as well. I’ve started to add in meditation or any positive audio I can listen to. I find this takes the pressure off having to get up right away and do all the things I don’t really wanna do. Helps to set a good tone for the day. It’s not a miracle, but it’s better than it has been. I’m working on trying to get outside for a walk or movement
My open loop: decided to close itself. I broke down my open loop into small tasks. Wrote it down scheduled a time for it. It was around having a phone call with my Son to grow connection. And it’s been one of those things that has been going on for months and we both have ADHD. Well wouldn’t you know it - I woke up to a text from him this morning telling me he had time to talk today, which incidentally I had scheduled for today thinking we might have to reschedule. So that darn loop got closed as well.
So currently I’ve closed 4 open loops that have been haunting me for months if not years, depending on which one it is:
  1. I am now proud owner of a 10 year passport.
  2. I managed to sew the ties on my duvet sothat I could get my duvet cover back on my duvet.
  3. I finally went through my off-size/summer clothing to figure out what to keep and what to get rid of. Now in storage containers correctly labeled.
  4. And now I actually had a phone call with my son, which has been six months or so overdue. Sounds ridiculous to say that out loud, but I have my stuff and this is one of them. 😂😂😂
And I know these don’t seem like big things, but the fact that they were staying rent-free in my head for so long and holding me back from focusing on other things… I can’t even begin to explain the amount of mental energy that was taking. And now my energy is freed up to start looking for the other open loops in my life to work on closing.
