Chunking!

When my girls were in school and brought back homework, they used to ask for help if they didn’t understand something. I remember once it was something called Chunking. I had no idea what it was until they showed me an example. The way I understood it, I could do it a different way but still came out with the correct answer.

The teacher was not impressed as they had to show their workings out and the way I showed them to do it was not the way the teaching system wanted it done.

Thinking back now, I know it’s my adhd brain and I could not do it the way they said it should be done. Does it really matter if the answer is correct? I found their way very long and complicated for me!
