The learning curve in Sales
Hey bros. Just got my first client as a copywriter and wanted to share with you guys. I went to that meeting with a value sandwich on my hands to increase my chances of closing the deal. At first, they just wanted me to write the emails, ads and sales page (basic stuff), then they chanced their minds to make me help with general strategy along to the aforementioned basic stuff. The problem is... now that i got the job, i think i charged too little for the volume of work involved😅 I just came out of an unpaid internship, and felt entitled to very little, so i got very surprised by their change of focus and thought i'd be the same. The client got 400k followers on IG and its selling her business mentorship to bakers. Any experienced sales bro out there wanna give his two cents on how fix this, so next time the newbie is in a better situation?

Next time it might be useful to treat each product you offer as a separate "deal". Emails and ads are short form copy and can be banged out pretty quickly if you have a strong understanding of the customer avatar and the niche, a sales page is long form copy and will take much more time to complete and you should be paid for that as a separate piece of business unless you are on a good retainer. Did you do a Discovery Project with the client to test the waters before agreeing to the larger deal?

@Felipe Soares I wish you the best on your project man! My client is a buddy of mine and he needs mostly consistency and to build his audience more, which isn't something I'd normally do but hey, what are friends for right? My job is to put appointments in his calendar so that's what I'll do. And if you ever want anyone to talk copy with or bounce ideas off of I'm totally game.
London photo spreeee for insta
Went to London for 7 days and tried to copy John and some other MoA guys photos. Got some amazing tips from @Ty Buchanan , @Graco Signorini and @Vilhelm Berninger Gonna edit these and see what I can cook up. Already got some feedback that some of these aren't the best so might delete them later when I get even better pics

I'll be in Jacksonville this month, me and a buddy are gonna take pictures there. Thinking about trips to Nashville, Gatlinburg, etc which are closer to me for shoots as well. Won't have anyone to help me take photos though, so I will just have to get creative.

@Joy Wu Thats cool man. I have never used a tripod before, I will have to pick one up and figure out how to make my Samsung take pictures without me pressing the button lol.
Just Joined and Completed Intro Course
Hey everyone, I'm Fahad, from Montreal, I look forward to getting to know you guys. I just went through the intro course over the last 5 days and will be implementing every step, starting by fixing my instagram. I am going to convince my friends to hangout at cool spots so we can take awesome pictures for our IG and online dating. My IG is RealFahadRahman. Ill consider joining MOA after completing the intro steps, currently I don't have any money because I am a full time computer engineering student, graduating by the end of summer hopefully.

Welcome dude
Introductions
Howdy, I'm Vincent and I live in East Tennessee about 45 minutes East of Knoxville. I earn my keep as a farm hand, but I am currently learning copywriting and I want to eventually do that full time. I look forward to meeting you all.
