Budgeting Blind Buys
I decided to allocate 20% of my scent budget to cheap blind buys. I did grab a couple of very nice scents based on what I've read here, but since I am so new to the field I wanted to get a bunch of cheap one so I can learn what I may not like. And more importantly why. Does anyone else do such things? Like I got 25 miscellaneous EDPs all under $20. I made sure to grab a variety of different top and base note scents. And I figure if I don't like them I can give them to my son and his friends because surely it will be better than axe body spray.

@Lon Chaneyfield a fair warning indeed. My thought is this won't be a regular activity; rather, a specific effort to help determine the real differences of my preferences. It is also interesting wearing a few of these cheapies and seeing what they devolve into and how long it takes.
April 7th LIVE Call: Member Spotlight Night!
This Tuesday, April 7th at 5PM Central US, we're doing something a little different โ€” and way more fun. Instead of bringing in another outside expertโ€ฆ we're putting the spotlight on our own members. ๐ŸŽ‰ Three guys from right inside this community are stepping up to share their real experiences โ€” and honestly? These are always our best sessions. No scripts. No slides. Just real talk from real people who've been on the same journey as you. Meet Your Guest Speakers: - Style: @Brian McGuire - Fragrance: @Renato Carotti - Watches: @Jeffrey Plotka They'll be sharing how they got started, what they've learned along the way, what's worked, what most guys still get wrong - and everything in between. If you've ever wanted to hear from guys who are actually living this stuff (not just teaching it), this is the one to show up for. Come hang, ask questions, and be part of the conversation. ๐Ÿ‘Š Join the call here: https://www.skool.com/bos/calendar?eid=7f86f9b34d1c4c36b498fe377e5674a8 See you there! ๐Ÿ™Œ

@Antonio Cent many thanks. I am genuinely looking forward to developing my knowledge of these topics. Thank you for making a great community for this.
TJ Maxxing
I kept hearing how the gent scents x Michael Malul keep showing up at TJ Maxx. So I decided to go in and try my luck. To surprise my local store had two bottles of South Slope and West Loop each for $29.99. So I decided to take one of each home ๐Ÿ˜‹

I am 100% going to try this. Now that I am starting to understand what I am looking for, and how much it should cost.

So I found different scents here in CA. But great deals nonetheless. I got a crown English laundry for $11. And some Middle Eastern scents for extremely cheap. Total blind buys but it's something that I figure will give me deeper understanding of what I do and don't like.

@Sage Knaus I have Tom Ford's Oud Wood. That has a lot of nice earthy tones and woodsy bits to it. Currently I'm trying to explore the tobacco scent a bit more.

@Faris Rahman welcome to the group Faris. I doubt the language barrier will affect you since it looks like you clearly want to learn. We share a lot of the same initial scentd that we bought. We'll see more of you in the future.
Levels.
How long did it take you level 7, 8, and 9 guys to get there. Iโ€™m strangely fixated my level.

@Craig Richards at least you understand yourself. I am just curious if you get to the top levels and you don't have the top knowledge. Do you feel that you have really earned it? The whole reason for the levels is to signify a certain level of expertise and knowledge. I am certainly not the expert at this point, and wouldn't want to be at level 8 or 9 until I have truly earned and understand the content on the deepest levels.
