Dropping New Modules
I am committed to sending out new modules on a monthly basis to keep this group engaged and always learning. What are a few topics where you feel your business could use some help? I will use these comments as a starting point to develop a few courses around them.

"What Once Was No Longer Is, What's To Come Will Ask Something Different of You"
I haven't met a single person who hasn't carried what felt like the weight of the world at a particular time. It's difficult in the moment to realize what is happening now won't be around forever. Understanding the power of perspective and reflection on past times and reminding yourself the best and worst are likely yet to come can help release a part of today's burden. Life, Business, Friendships, Romances, Family... These are all things to juggle every single day. I hope you all realize this community was created to share real life versions of ourselves, and our businesses because you can't scale a lie.. the truth, honesty and humility are all necessary to grow in all aspects of life. With that said, I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and I can't wait to ring in the new year, and get to know each and every one of you! Cheers

Your First Hire
Over 95% of our industry as I’ve stated before is a one person business. That mean doing all things from speaking with clients, providing estimates, handling marketing and doing the work. A major key that’s missing in these businesses is the data collection. If you don’t have clear data, and insight into your numbers it’s impossible to grow your business. You’re making decisions based on feelings, not facts. Along with giving you back your time, I firmly believe one of the greatest first hires is a virtual assistant. Handy’s made this hire on day 1, knowing the strength of their skills. From answering phones, collecting deposits, managing schedules, following up with past clients, keeping things organized they can also be efficient in data collection to give you clarity on the decisions you make when growing. This position you can find for $5-7USD/hr Who is currently using one in their business?

Uniting the Industry
Over 95% of registered handyman businesses in the country are owned and operated by one person. They're often referred to in the industry as a "Chuck in a Truck." Typically highly skilled at their craft with decades of experience. Capable of fixing just about anything in your house. Arguably the most valuable trade a homeowner needs. Yet when they no longer can physically perform the tasks they once could, a lifetime of blood, sweat and tears... the truck with their last name on the side... their long lasting reputation slowly disappears. A legacy becomes nothing overnight. I've seen this happen first hand with family members, and too many other times to count. I believe firmly that what we are building at Handy's will be their solution. Giving the incredibly hardworking men and women a legacy that outlasts themselves, and a business that keeps paying them long after they put down the hammer. Our vision at Handy's is to unite the 95%, and create sustainability for all those people who work too hard for too little. I am so excited about what's next, and so proud to be leading this effort.

@Troy Graham it’s crazy to think how simple success can be when you commit to doing the small things exceptionally well. Glad to have you part of the group!

@Zack Flippo this is a large part of why we chose Handyman - we just knew we’d at least get a head start with some simple processes and focuses, then use the data and feedback to pivot and scale where needed!
Information vs. Implementation
A lot of people have asked why I give away our entire business playbook. They see it as supporting my competition. I used to think that way as well, until I paid for countless courses, masterminds, live events and would go home excited to share everything I learned.. then a week goes by and my notes are lost, and nothing was ever put into place. Over 90% of people who consume information never do anything with it. It's the implementation piece of the pie that is what really matters. So no, I'm not afraid or worried to give away our business information to anyone because the likelihood is that they'll never do anything with it. I say this not to deter you from learning and paying for courses and consulting. I say it to warn you that IF you are spending money to learn, make sure you have an implementation plan in place to act upon those learnings! I can't wait to follow along with everyone's journey!
