USB purchasing gig sizes
I was at Officeworks because I needed a new USB storage thingy. I'm making this up because I can't remember exactly, but all from the same brand, it was like 16gig - $19 36gig - $29 176gig- $39 Like who'd buy the 16 gig one? I obviously bought the biggest one even though I definitely didn't need that much storage. Why do they do this? Should I be doing this for my courses so everyone buys my biggest one? (Even if you see or think the right answer has been commented, keep thinking and comment whatever comes to mind! There's no right or wrong answer it's all about seeing what we can find. That's how we train our brains)

I see this all the time in other business and I’m pretty sure it’s marketing psychology called price anchoring or the contrast effect. It essentially means that the first option doesn’t look like good value, the second option is okay and the third option seems like it’s the best value for money. Even if you only “needed” the lowest value the bargain searching parts of our brains tick upwards to that bigger “better” option. It’s not actually about providing the options but giving an obvious winner… Photographers do this a lot, particularly wedding ones (can vouch, was one for 10 years ha). Positioning the middle package as the best offer because it’s the one we want to sell - with the outliers being exactly that; for the outliers.

What are all the reasons I, (and a ton of other people in the world) want/purchased a Labubu?? What made this craze take of? What strategies (intentional or not - some would've happened at the beginning, but some were created by purchasers etc.) What happened that snowballed the effect of Labubu craziness? PS: Yes I have one hahaha Comment below. Have fun!! Remember there's no right or wrong answer. It's about stretching our minds and exploring to find why things happen, so we can train ourselves into spotting strategies, and make it easier to apply them to our own businesses.

Engagement - there will be plenty of people out there who will point it out - triggering the engagement side of advertising.

@Tri Martin this was exactly what i was about to add - the allure of seeing the end product and focus on multiple things at once to hold attention!
🧠 READ ME FIRST
Read to the bottom and type 'Read' once you have! Welcome to The 3AM Thinkers Club 🎉🎉🎉🎉 You know those middle-of-the-night moments when your brain won't shut up? Whether it be with your own problems or someone else's. When you're lying there at 2:47am thinking of the most random things? Like... "Why do luxury hotels give you tiny soap bottles when others have big dispensers?" or "Why do I ALWAYS want to buy something at Aldi's special buys but never at the other supermarkets?" That's your strategic brain working! This place will teach your brain to do that... figure out those answers... but while you're awake. WHY BOTHER? Because when you can spot strategies in real life business scenarios like Aldi or Hotels, you'll be able to reverse engineer things and play with them in your own business. Here, you will learn how to think like a strategist. And you're about to get addicted to it. Your 3am brain already does this... makes random connections others don't. We're just going to train it to do it in an educated way so that you can benefit from it, instead of being kept awake from it. 📌 HERE'S HOW IT WORKS!! ❌ This is NOT a place to: - Ask for help with your personal business problems - Share your struggles or get advice - Post about your offers or services ✅ This IS a place to: - Share cool business observations you've spotted in the wild - Decode why companies do seemingly backwards things - Make connections between totally unrelated industries - Train your brain to see strategic patterns everywhere Think of it like a gym for your strategic thinking. Every post, every comment, every observation is a rep that makes your pattern-recognition muscle stronger. 🏆 THE ADDICTION SYSTEM (You're going to love this) HERE'S HOW YOU GET POINTS - IT'S ALL ABOUT QUALITY: 🔥 When people LIKE your posts - you get points 🔥 When people LIKE your comments - you get points 🔥 When people ENGAGE with your insights - you get points BUT HERE'S THE CATCH: You only get points when people actually LIKE what you've shared. Not just because you posted something. It has to be GOOD.
