When a brand strategy goes wrong!!!
Such a big and honestly stupid mistake!!! No marketing should be manipulative. Let me know your thoughts on this (Minna hasn’t got her settings to allow downloads so I can only share the link. Essentially, a brand messaged someone an influencer style message, making them feel all chosen and priceless to be invited to an exclusive event, she organised a sitter, paid for city parking, dressed up. They offered her a plus one. Really specially worded. Then she arrived and it was a sample sale that was open to the public. The PR/marketing team intentionally skewing facts with clever words to get people with big followings to promote the event for the brand. https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSy6DRUBy/
What strategy is going on here?
This is a cool one - I saw this TikTok (the one with the girl) and thought it was cool (also thought it was set up, but that’s besides the point haha) I liked it, but didn’t think anything more of it till today when I saw ANOTHER TikTok with the same guys singing the same song but with someone else And I was like weeewwwww this is STRATEGY!!! And it’s clever… Let me know below what you see going on here, and if you’re feeling stretchy, try and think of ways it could apply to other businesses!

I realised something yesterday. I've been here the whole time waiting/hoping for you to post things in here... expecting to get a notification when you do... but I never got any notifications! Yesterday I went for a walk with Daphne, and something hit me, and made me check the actual feed. AND THERE WERE SO MANY OF YOUR POSTS!! And they are all SO GOOOOOD. I genuinely had so much fun replying to them all. I loved it because it's like these mini challenges you put out each day, or more like a puzzle. And of course I want to solve it. And because it's not me coming up with it, or noticing it, and having already thought about it, it's like the biggest kind of thrill (I know that's super daggy of me, but marketing really tickles me). Anyway... I just want to apologise for the VERY late replies to your posts. I've figured it out now though, so keep them coming! AND loving all the comments happening in them, I can't believe how much I missed. It really feels like you like the concept here though which definitely made my day, because your comments are really curious and I can see how they're stretching you! Eeeee. What are the negative impacts of Taylor Swifts variant releasing strategy?
On the 14th of August Taylor Swift announced her new album. She opened up preorders. Since then she’s released 20+ variants of her album. The latest just 9 hours ago today almost 2 months later. 😬 What are the negative impacts of this strategy? You can share positive ones too of course because this is all about stretching our brains. Like why is she doing this. But the main thing I want to focus on is the issues this is causing. The screenshot below is a of her story promoting the most recent variant after it’s released.

What are all the reasons I, (and a ton of other people in the world) want/purchased a Labubu?? What made this craze take of? What strategies (intentional or not - some would've happened at the beginning, but some were created by purchasers etc.) What happened that snowballed the effect of Labubu craziness?
