Hamstring calisthenics exercises? No equipment?
Hello, I was hoping someone could help me think of an exercise I can do to improve my hamstring/glute strength for single knee hangs. I've attached a photo of what I am talking about so you can get an idea of the movement I need to strengthen. Basically I need to get stronger at bringing my heel to my butt. Ofc a hamstring curl machine would be perfect but I don't have access. I would like to find one that doesn't involve hanging upside down either, because I can't go to failure (or I will fall on my head). (I'm not sure if Nordic curls would help anyway because it seems like a different sort of move? But they're also hard on my knees, like I can feel something pull like it's about to pop, so I think I should avoid those too) Any ideas?

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert will do, thank you!!
Shoulderstand!
I was literally just sooking about how I've been working on this stupid skill for months with no improvement while everyone else gets it in their first class, decided to record a video for progress as a 'before' and actually managed to hold it! Obv a work in progress and pretty useless until I can get into it without the wall but I'm just happy I could get more or less vertical for the first time 🥳

@Karyn Ainsworth I have actually started trying this in the last few days! I managed to get it a few times but I found it really scary/hard to balance without rolling over, although looking at the images you linked i think I was holding my hands wrong? I'll keep trying, hopefully without rolling onto my neck too much 🤣 thank you!

@Brandon Beauchesne-Hebert Yess I noticed a huge difference when I tried to scoop the hips under really consciously rather than focusing on getting the legs straight!!
Daily Action Log 🎄 [Dec. 8 – Dec. 14]
Consistency is not about motivation. It is built by showing up, even when the days get busy. That is why this space exists. The Daily Action Log is where small actions turn into real progress, one day at a time. December is full of distractions. Holidays. End-of-year stress. Shorter days. That makes this practice even more important. You do not need perfect workouts. You just need to keep moving. 💪 Trained strength for 10–30 minutes? Post it here. 🤸 Practiced a skill like handstands, hangs, or flow? Drop it here. 🧘 Did mobility, stretching, walking, or recovery work? It counts. Even 2–5 minutes matters. Especially when life feels packed. This week is also about momentum, not intensity. Stacking days. Keeping the habit alive. Staying connected to the process. 👉 How to use this space: Post what you did today. Include time or reps if you want feedback. Support others by liking or commenting. Every interaction builds accountability for the whole group. Showing up here builds discipline, not just fitness. 💬 What is one action you took today toward your movement or skill goals? Post it below ⬇️

Went to the gym today and did some flexibility, tiny bit of strength, and kind of? Did a band assisted pullup? Didn't quite reach the bar but still. Also I managed to get some tilt to my hanging knee raises for the first time!
Forward fold + straddle wins
Today I managed to straighten my legs from happy baby for first time - probably the narrowest straddle I've ever seen and my lower back was fully off the ground, but the legs were straight so I'm happy with that! I also took some progress photos of my forward fold and am pretty happy with it! Another win was yesterday - managed to flatten my hands to the ground without warming up for first time - and can also touch my head to my knees when sitting on ground. I haven't really tested my forward fold often since I'm not actively working on it. Next goal: head to knees standing up. Also I want to do the wide leg forward fold where your upper body is completely flat and between your legs, so I might switch from working on narrow stance forward folds to wide stance - which will hopefully also help a bit with my middle splits which are being incredibly stubborn.

Daily Action Log 🎄 [Dec. 1 to 7] - Week 2 of the 100-Minute Challenge
Consistency is the real skill behind every transformation. And just like strength or balance, it is built the same way, one small action at a time. This week, the Action Log continues with Week 2 of the 100-Minute Challenge and we are also kicking off December’s Advent Adventure Calendar which you will see in a separate post with daily mini skills and challenges. Your mission for this week is simple. Accumulate 100 total minutes of movement over the next 7 days. That is it. Your pace. Your schedule. Your style. If you break it down: - 100 minutes in a week is just about 14 to 15 minutes per day Everything counts when you move with intention. What counts toward your 100 minutes - Strength training - Skill practice - Handstands - Mobility or stretching - Primal movement - Walking or hiking - Hanging or grip work Anything that builds your athleticism counts. Even a quick 5-minute session is a win. You can log it like this “16 minutes today. Total: 34 out of 100.” Be specific if you want feedback. Support others by replying, liking, and celebrating their wins. Staying active here also helps you earn XP and unlock rewards. Your actions do not just build your consistency they raise the standard for the entire community. 💬 What is one action you took today and how many minutes are you at toward your 100 this week? Post it below ⬇️

Tired today so only managed to get through half a yoga with Adrienne video, and 90% of that was just breathing 🤣
