Adventures in Vietnam
Heading to Ho Chi Minh City tomorrow after been surrounded by flood waters for a couple of days, and without power for part of that time. Two weekends ahead of running a masters course in Creativity for Solvay, public workshop on Creativity, promoting World Creativity Day/Week next April, and discussions with a university about a 4-month engagement, which might include teaching facilitation skills. I have a busy 10 days coming up.

@David Newman that sounds super interesting what you are doing. I'd love to hear, see more of your work. If you have sth coming up online, where I could join, I'd love to... Good luck for all your adventures 🤞🏼

I just participated in a demo of this relatively new tool for online meetings. It is especially designed for Workshop facilitation and has several tools integrated. You can - for example - prepare your entire workshop within butter, including the preparation of breakout rooms and assign tasks to every room. They have templates like "AJ&Smart's favorite icebreakers" and many more... Check it out: https://www.butter.us

We (AJ&Smart) Went to the World's Craziest Sales Training! [VIDEO]
Hey hey! Want to see behind the scenes of a masssssive sales and marketing training in Florida? The whole AJ&Smart marketing and sales team went 2 weeks ago and it was mindblowing. The conference/training itself is called "Funnel Hacking Live" We all got VERY sick afterward but it was an amazing experience. This is a pretty experimental vlog type... quite long, kinda like a home movie, we honestly don't know if people will like the style, but I hope it's useful or fun to some of you! Cheers, J

@Benedict Odjobo same here! 🤩
FREE weekly career coaching call!
Hey Workshoppers, I'm VERY excited about this: As many of you already know, I usually only do coaching inside our high-level paid community "Inner Circle"... BUT today I'm announcing a little experiment: I'm going to run a free, 1 hour, weekly coaching session right here in this community, starting next Tuesday (August 22nd)! 👉 Watch this video if you don't feel like reading! You can join these calls and ask me anything you like about: - Building your facilitation career - Running specific workshops - Getting help with running workshops/troubleshooting - Getting advice on working with clients - Sales and marketing tips - Whatever you like! The first call starts NEXT TUESDAY (August 22nd, 4pm CET) and you can see the full schedule of upcoming calls right here on the Skool Calendar. I'll decide if I'll keep doing these based on how many people show up/ whether you all find them useful! ⚠️ 2 important bits of information: ONE: These calls will be strictly ONE hour long. We'll get through as much as we can in that time. I do a 2-3 hour coaching session every week in our "Inner Circle All-Access" community (these are recorded & transcribed), for those who want to go deeper. We can talk about this in more detail next week if anyone is interested in learning more! TWO: There won't be recordings of these free Q&A sessions. Why? For lots of reasons, but in short: just come hang out live! Hope to see some of you next week, let's go! Cheers, Jonathan

Introduction 👋
Hello! I've just recently discovered AJ&Smart and am considering to dive deeper into facilitation. I am a (mostly) Berlin based coach. Working online right now in the Health coaching field with a team that is focused on people who suffer from eczemia (Neurodermitis). My goal is to facilitate workshops on order to help spread a more healthy and happy way of approaching life into organisations and workplaces. My be even in my former work environment - the film and tv business. I spent almost 3 decades on film/tv locations and it has been rather a stressful and unhealthy experience. I'd love to help change that. I am happy to be here now, to learn from you all and to expand my skills 😊

Using workshop to generate more leads for more workshops
I am trying to create a free short workshop that can help me sell a bigger workshop or more workshops to many clients. Have anyone used such an approach. If yes would you do the first one for free and use as a lead generation tool for future ones?

My Hello & What I can share & What I am looking for...
🚀 Hello sweet F-people! ❤️ I am so glad this club emerged. My name is Göran (go-run for English natives), and I got skilled in graphic design & copywriting, communication science, Design Thinking, Systems Thinking, Relationship dynamics and DJing. Long time I was looking at what it is and realised facilitation amalgamates everything above into one excellent harbour. 🌍 I love connecting people, topics and goals, and my favourites are large group formats, which I ran for conference kick-offs, Design Thinking (and related topics), and Team Building and I even have a format called The Orgasm Workshop (ask me everything;)) for festivals and cruises. As an avid traveller I love challenging myself, working in different cultural contexts, and the latest formats I ran in Nairobi. 🎧 DJing for Ecstatic Dance and plant ceremonies taught me tons for the facilitation space, and I am happy to share... https://soundcloud.com/djgoranji 💬 Also, I added upfront of my formats the NARRATIVE ANALYSIS to craft much better and systemically inspired formats which became a game-changer for me. When you love to know what I do there, feel free to reach out. 📗 WHAT I WANT TO LEARN HERE: Everything about facilitative leadership / facilitation as a future leadership skill / community building formats / group dynamics / group psychology / more on group language / more communication feats / become more visiual in space / ... 🤲🏽 WHAT I CAN SHARE WITH YOU: feats and tricks and manifold formats / communication feats / some intercultural experience/knowledge on space and sound and djing / what an orgasm workshop is... ;) Looking forward to a great time shared Göran a.k.a. goranji

Hi Göran, great to meet you here. I love the diversity of your work and I'd love to learn what a "orgasm workshop" is...

@Göran Hielscher sounds interesting! Have you ever heard from embodied intimacy? A beautiful tool to heal inner trauma by relating to others and opening up, allowing to share and go into relationships. I just attended a couple of workshops and am very touched by it's power.
"Inquiry: Seeking Insights and Resources for Women's Leadership Training"
Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well. I wanted to reach out and ask if any of you have experience facilitating a women's leadership training program or if you have come across any frameworks that could be useful. We're looking to enhance our women's leadership initiatives, and I believe your insights and experiences could provide valuable guidance. This is an informal forum, so feel free to share any thoughts or resources you may have. Thank you in advance for your contributions!

@Musakabantu Unene I find it courageous to lead a women's workshop as a man. To be 100% honest - I wouldn't attend a workshop about "women's leadership" when it is hosted by a man. It has to do with identification, shared experiences and the magic always begins when people are opening up to each other. That might become difficult in front of a man. Just food for thoughts...
