Projects from Teak wood
A number of years ago my oldest daughter brought a home with some pretty ugly Teak countertops and asked if I wanted the wood and of course I didn’t say no.A couple of years ago I saw an article in a woodworking magazine for this garden bench, I thought what a great idea for some of the Teak. In the pictures you can see not only the bench, but a shower seat that I made for another daughter and a shower shelf that I made for one my granddaughters. Sometimes all I get is a picture of something that someone would like me to build and I have to figure out how to make it. I will post on how I accomplish this in another post.

Beautiful
Item from my bucket list
Always wanted to make a chess set and board and case. The dark pieces are from a dead cherry tree I took down in my backyard, the light from some popular that I had lying around and the light on the board and case from a piece of maple firewood. Was a good test for doing compound cuts on the scroll saw

New to the community!
Good evening everyone..I'm new to the community and totally new to the woodworking world but I'm happy to be here and a part of it. If anyone knows of any places that offer free or decent priced classes or even a mentor program that's available. Heck I'll even go help you at your shop if you have one for free as long as I'm learning. (Only available weekends. Still working a regular 9-5 job durng the week) please drop a comment or shoot me a message. Thank you all and enjoy your evening and have a blessed day tomo.

Hi David, I offered “my free weekend services” to a subcontractor and he said he didn’t work weekends. I thought they worked 6 days a week😧. The Habitat, community college, or technical school may be a resource. I am taking a carpentry class at the community college it’s been good. This semester we are building a 8*10’ shed.

I have a space problem too. I am working out of my garage. I just bought a 7*7 shed to put my garden tools in because every time I work on a project I have to roll out the table saw, workbenches and miter saw. Generally speaking I am very organized person but I have taken on too much this time. It’s really fun but it can be overwhelming. I really need a workshop, 2 garages and 2 garden sheds. 🥰 Janet, I feel your pain.
