Rich
Hello, weekend woodworker here. I've been making sawdust since high school wood shop. Most everything I make is for family or personal use. I'm hoping to retire from the grind in a few years and want to remain active. It's great to be here and thanks for accepting me.
New to the community!
Good evening everyone..I'm new to the community and totally new to the woodworking world but I'm happy to be here and a part of it. If anyone knows of any places that offer free or decent priced classes or even a mentor program that's available. Heck I'll even go help you at your shop if you have one for free as long as I'm learning. (Only available weekends. Still working a regular 9-5 job durng the week) please drop a comment or shoot me a message. Thank you all and enjoy your evening and have a blessed day tomo.
Master of none
Very self taught. I do it wrong. My style is best described as sloppy. Grew up making things as I needed or wanted. Stopped more than a decade ago by giving a nephew my tools. Now, I’m getting back into woodcraft. Plan to make a modular workbench for my small garage soon-to-be workshop.
Charles Neal
I worked as a woodworker, custom furniture and casework for ten years in Houston. I moved to California in 87 and worked for 35+ years as a construction inspector. It paid more and I needed the money. I am now retired. I put the shop back together and spend my time building assorted wood projects. Recently my computer updated and it connected a password that used to get me through to "Charles Neal Woodworking" to this internet address. I am hoping that there was a reason for this and that someone (maybe Rich) could help me locate the Charles Neal videos? This would be greatly appreciated because in my opinion Charles was the best hands on teacher of woodworking projects that I have ever seen. Charles had passed away and since I cannot locate his vids. Maybe my computer was just connecting me to another woodworking site, and if that's the case, I still have nothing to loose. I called the posted phone number because I didn't want to waste any ones time but there was no answer. But maybe I could learn something here. That would be cool. But again if anybody knows how to get ahold of those videos I would be forever grateful. Thank you
Sorry so late here
I'm in Illinois, getting close to retirement. I started dabbing into woodworking about four years ago, only got real serious about it this past year, still learning a lot. Right now just doing general woodworking but did mange to build a station for my miter saw and a out feed table for my job site table saw.
