Olive Pizza Peel
I’m getting ready to start a pizza peel project with this olive wood slab. I’m letting it naturalize to the shop conditions for a few weeks before flattening the slab. I’ve heard that olive has a tendency to warp over time. I’m thinking it may be a good idea to seal/harden the piece after flattening and before shaping. What is giving me concern is that this will be going into a hot pizza oven for brief periods of time. I’m not sure a wood hardener or penetrating epoxy would be good for high heat usage. Maybe the minimal exposure time is less of a concern than I’m thinking. The other concern would be food safety if a fully cured hardener is exposed to heat. Does anyone have any ideas on stabilizing the piece? Thanks!

Lawn timber lawn baskets
The white flower baskets are rotting and falling apart. So I figured no problem. It's just lawn timbers. Cut some timbers into the proper size pieces then use some wood screws to put the pieces together to make a basket. Simple. Right. Might be simple for someone else, but now I am calling this my monster project. I am getting close to having one completed. I refuse to give up.

Round dining table
Hope to be able to make a round 48” table, the idea is to joint four panels 26” X 26” to then make the circle. Ones that is done I have few ideas for the legs.

Custom hand carved sign
Here is a sign I’m hoping to finish today. I started painting it last night. I did this too cheap, only $125 but I needed money and it’s more practice and I get paid.
