Personal Narrative
Hey guys! I was working on my personal narrative and hoping I could maybe get some feedback on it. Does it capture your attention? Too wordy? Any critique or advice would be greatly appreciated. "Hi. I’m Jessica Sadtler. I am a director of Rehab services at a skilled nursing facility with a background in Occupational Therapy. As an occupational therapist with leadership experience, I have seen firsthand how the right medical technology can transform patient outcomes. I’ve also seen the challenges clinicians face with adapting to new products. I want to bridge the gap and empower independence through innovation to make a broader impact. I also want to stay ahead of the industry and help with the evolving populations and rapidly evolving technology. What sets me apart is my ability to fill that void between clinical care and innovation. As an OT, I bring deep understanding of patient needs, clinical workflow, and challenges that healthcare providers face daily. I can go beyond selling a product--I can be a trusted consultant with strong collaboration, education, and influence to build long-term relationships."

This certainly captures my attention! I will share what was a learning curve for me… and still is (because like you, I have a tendency to be wordy to ensure I’ve made my point) but that is to condense where you can! I’ve only been through a few interviews myself but a phrase consistently reiterated to me was to “be brief, be brilliant, be gone”. And to express your passion! i.e. “I’m passionate about the fusion of clinical care and innovation.” Be confident!! “I’m confident in my ability to bring deep understanding….”. Others may have much better advice! Take my words with a grain of salt because I’m not an expert by any means. Overall you make really great points and speak to your passions!

@Jessica Sadtler it’s such a different mindset to get into! I’ve been an ICU nurse for 11 years, with some in leadership positions. And in those cases, I was approached and asked to apply for those roles. We are used to our resumes speaking for us- but now it’s our turn to show why we are the best for the position based on what drives us. Whether they hire us or not!
Medtronic Interview Process Update
Interview number FOUR with Medtronic for a clinical specialist role coming up! I’m so excited and SO honored to have been chosen to move forward. I know my nerves got to me during my 3rd interview- so I am honestly in a bit of shock! This upcoming “in person” interview will take lots of prep work! Especially with further development of my 30-60-90! Anyone have any words of advice or experience with having presented their 30-60-90 that could give me any information or helpful tips would be SO greatly appreciated! Once again, this is the exact type of role and product I have been praying for! I’ve been given this opportunity for a reason- the answer isn’t clear yet, BUT I could use ALL the support of my peers who are grinding for the transition into medical sales in the same way, with the same determination that I am! Asking for all the good thoughts, prayers, and vibes out there! I hope yall have a great week!

Anyone have any words of advice or have experience having interviewed with Medtronic that could give me any information would be SO greatly appreciated!
