Hello
Hey everyone, I'm a new member, based in Victoria, Australia. I'm studying Permaculture and Organic Market Gardening. I'm learning so much - it keeps me awake at night! I'm slightly obsessed with composting and the creation of nutrient dense soil!!!! I chat to people all the time about the importance of nutrient dense soils to produce nutrient dense food! Were hoping to move to land/acerage soon and set up our farm. I'm hoping to learn from others here, share and make new connections both here in Australia and all around the world. Thanks for providing the opportunity to dream and grow...

Hi from southwest Vic 👋
End season tomato harvest
So, after 3 years of tomato struggles due to cooler summers, we finally got a good crop. 3 bags of frozen red tomatoes, 4 weeks of fresh passata (used as we bottled it), 2 bags of green tomatoes in the freezer and 10 bottles of green tomato chutney. The plants were mainly in the greenhouse. Although I must have dropped a seed in the vege garden. One self planted there and was enjoying growing amidst my yarrow and calendula. It was the most prolific fruiter and the provider of the abundance of green tomatoes.

I made my green tomato chutney the same day lol. I just googled for a recipe though. I got lucky, it’s really good. Might try yours next year. It sounds fabulous.
Fair Warning: You All Should Read This Post Now.
Hello my fellow homesteaders. As you all are deeply passionate about permaculture & homesteading... I wanted to give you a heads up before others. A big change is happening soon. Have you visited the "classroom" tab of this community? You would find three courses named "holistic homesteading academy". Actually It's one course but divided into 3 tracks due to it's length and category. Those 3 tracks are: 1. Permaculture Principles 2. Designing Your Homestead 3. Practical Application This is actually an academy level training taking a person from 0 to almost an expert level in permaculture and homesteading. ... Even if you have no land. (That's actually the ideal scenario) The course was priced at $1300 or around $1500 for payment plans. Almost 3000 students enrolled at that price over 1 year period. But right now? If you click on the "classroom" tab - you will see the price is $297 + $99 + $99 = $495 The reason why the price is so low is because I'm not actively selling it. It's just sitting there. But... 24th June onwards... I'm launching the course again at $897 or more. The launch will happen with ad traffic. So... You have a few days left at this price. Also... There's a 90 days money back guarantee. (Always were) If you ever dreamt of having your own homestead but have no clue how... This is time. This offer is exclusively applied to group members. Go to the "classroom" tab and you will find there to buy it. Cheers!

@Aniket Singh I’d like full access too please. I paid for the course through Bret.
Blackberry removal
A local mum and daughter have a business "2 girls and the goats". I have hired them to mow down the blackberries naturally in the bush block. They will check the goats every 2 days, water them and move the fence as needed. The goats are all whethers. I have been quoted 5 days of munching. I will collect the manure when they are gone and reuse it.

@Evon Saavedra that sounds like a very good idea. I might try some of that too if I ever get through the urgent items on my to do list.
