Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)
Hi fam, I’ve been drug free these last couple of months and have changed to a healing protocol. I’m hearing a lot about DMSO (which is an industrial solvent extracted from wood) enhancing immunotherapy outcomes. I’m wondering if in a general cancer care context if it has benefits given it’s cell differentiation inducer, free radical scavenger and radioprotectant. It also is powerful enough to penetrate cell membranes to help other agents get in there (and potentially 🥊 cancer cells and evade the annoying resistant populations that pump drugs out and have thicker membrane) which is cool. I am highly drug resistant (45%) which is super annoying, so I’m always looking for ways to overcome this. In the 80s DMSO was used in conjunction with sodium phenylbutyrate too, which I still have but am not actively using. Atm the only drug I’m taking is fenben - other compounds are in liquid form because I had a gut full (pardon the pun) of 101 capsules every day. I currently do the following and will test a few days before Christmas (not medical advice but others may like to look further into some of these strategies); - 7-10 day fasting every third week (4-5 days dry into 4-5 days water only) - a warm tea concoction 2-3 times a day of dandelion root, matcha and sour sop leaves. - a cold concoction of hydrogen water with methylene blue, apple cider vinegar, liposomal quercetin, Lugol's iodine solution, shilajit resin (mostly for the fulvic acid), Kurk (liquid highly absorbable curcumin) 1-2 times a day - oral oil pulling 3 times a day due to terrible oral microbiome (characterised by high amounts of volatile sulfur in the mouth and also colonising in the small intestine which is increasingly associated with cancer) - ketogenic diet with extra fermented foods to improve overall gut health, beneficial bacteria count, and digestion - a spoon of kafir and codliver oil just before meals for a more concentrated source of DHA and EPA and Lactobacillus - shinrinyoku on a daily basis, including earthing, grounding, meditating, getting vitamin D and far infrared light to increase NK cells, balance autonomic nervous system and increase activity of parasympathetic nerves

@Lisa Drake I used DMSO topically to get things into my system that either were easier that way, were a variation that way, or that the gut could use up before enough got to the rest of me. It's a serious solvent, so please, if you decide to use it, follow the protocols for keeping the area clean and everything else away from it. That said, it worked well for me, as shown by my monthly labs during the process, and by being NED now. I used it only with the purest powders, not with anything with fillers, etc. and I do think it made it possible for me to absorb enough to help (I didn't have access to IV's, HBOT, etc. only topical, liposomal, and oral). I so hear you on a gut full of capsules! I did everything on your protocol (though not always in the same combinations) and more, at various times except the dry fasting. Would you be willing to share why you chose that in particular? I did longer fasts, ongoing TRE, ongoing every other day fasting, but not dry fasting. Is that what it takes for you to get to your target GKI numbers? Or? Wishing you the very best and cheering you on!

..my beloved fellow travelers, I am a carb-addict (BIG TIME) ha-ha! => So I found Dr. Robert Cywes, MD, PhD, YT channel => he's a #CarbAddictionDoc. I've kept in my helpful quote piggy bank: "𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙨𝙣𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩," and this is so true for me => it has been handy. He gives many tips, and I thought, maybe there is someone in the same boat as me? He's all in for keto! Bonus: he is one of the participants in the animal documentary that @Lemon P graciously shared with us.. P.S. Here comes another quote: "𝙈𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙢 𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙥𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙫𝙚 𝙞𝙩.". ~ Martyn Lloyd-Jones

@Svetlana Soboleva I too just don't have them as an option. There are only vegetable carbs in my home (mostly leafy greens, some salad vegetables like cucumber and celery) and so, when I crave, which I do, I have to get in the car and find an open store (not always possible where I live) and that often gives me the time to remember what I am doing and why and to take myself out of the automatic and into the thinking version of myself. I agree with @Egg Scrambled about just stopping and also telling myself that it's bad for me. When I go to parties with carby sweets I serve them, to be a part of the celebration, but I don't eat them, to me they are damaging. When I started, I did a once a month for one hour of the month (to mess with my insulin and blood sugar as little as possible) and in that hour I could have whatever I wanted. When I craved something, I said, great, yes, absolutely I can have that, I'm putting it on the list for that time. When that time came I would choose from my list (it was longer than 1 hour of straight eating!) and have whatever I wanted from it. I felt almost "hungover", and certainly uncomfortable for a good 3-4 days after I did that, and after about 6 months, I associated eating that kind of stuff with feeling bad and fasting and eating well with feeling good, and then the willpower wasn't needed, I just choose to eat to live, and not to eat to die, and because it's my main habit now, it's what I do, almost all of the time. There are a lot of wonderful suggestions here, what have you tried? What's worked for you? What hasn't? Sending you the very best wishes for changing your habits to live!

@Svetlana Soboleva please take what I am sharing as only suggestions wanting the very best for you, I know we are individuals and our challenges and places of more ease are our own. 1. SUCH a winner, prayer helped me a lot, too! 2. Agree strongly that more protein helps with the cravings and another aspect of that for me is not to eat when I am HALT (very hungry, angry, lonely, tired) but to use other tools during that time, prayer, rituals (a lovely cup of tea looking at the horizon), a walk - short or long, self-care of any kind - bathing, coloring, cleaning, etc. I also used to schedule and plan my protein to get enough to help. It took planning for me to achieve. 3. It was almost 2 straight years of no taste of sweet before my blood sugar stopped increasing with the thought or taste of sweet. You are not alone, at all, in non-caloric sweet tastes increasing your blood sugar. For me, it's a matter of having a plan for after I eat that sweet treat because I know for sure I will crave after. I eat a can of tuna with moringa powder as my first several meals after an allulose treat. 4. I agree, I used to love very sugary and creamy coffee, and now have learned to love it black! 5. I make my own gelatins, with grass-fed gelatin, and it wasn't nearly so yummy as the kinds you could buy, but I found for me, "powdering" it after with citric acid gave me the flavor profile that took it from ok to wildly yummy treat. You too!!! Sending love and healing!
Your thoughts on this multivitamin supplement
Vitamins: • Vitamin A • Vitamin D3 • Vitamin E • Vitamin K • Vitamin C • Thiamin (Vitamin B1) • Riboflavin (Vitamin B2) • Niacin (Vitamin B3) • Vitamin B6 • Folic Acid (Vitamin B9) • Vitamin B12 • Biotin (Vitamin B7) • Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5) Minerals: • Calcium • Magnesium • Iron • Zinc • Copper • Manganese • Selenium • Chromium • Molybdenum • Iodine This particular brand contain these vitamins and minerals, each meeting 100% of the Nutrient Reference Value (NRV). (Except Calcium and Magnesium at 25% of the NRV) @Simon Lown suggested the methylated ones on the previous post . What are the pros and cons of this particular multivitamin supplement and what’s important to consider?

@Bernardo Henriques Do you know the genetics of the person this is for? For me, this wouldn't work, I have to have the methylated forms. Other possible issues, is it k2? I take d3/k2 and am not sure if that is the form in this one. I don't take zinc and copper in the same supplement nor at the same time, so that would be, for me, another possible issue. I generally take single ingredient supplements because a formulation like this might work for one person, but is unlikely to be a perfect fit for me. I also don't take selenium as my body doesn't process it well and it can build up to toxic levels for me - I think that's pretty rare, but I mention it, just in case. I like using cronometer and trying to get much of my nutrition from food, even if it's supplement ish food. For example, I eat a lot of moringa, high fiber, some protein, low fat, leafy green, low calorie, and I wouldn't if I weren't trying to get enough protein, calcium, magnesium, and iron.

I grow my own moringa and have seeds, so if folks want to send me a sase (self-addressed stamped envelope) I am happy to send you some seeds. It's tropical, but can be grown in containers most anywhere and grows very quickly. DM me for my address if you want some seeds.
Liver dysfunction
Hey guys, just wondering if anyone has had problems with liver dysfunction during their treatment. Dad has been on fenbendazole (222mg, 6 days a week) and ivermectin (1mg/kg) for six weeks with no issues. Started pembrolizumab/carboplatin 10 days ago and today had a blood test showing liver dysfunction with ALT around 1000, up from 40 2 weeks prior. The doctors are thinking it's autoimmune from the pembro, and treating as such. Anyone had liver function go off to that degree with fenben? Thanks

I use binders in the middle of the night if I get up to go to the bathroom so they don't interfere with absorption of the things I want to absorb during the day.

@Siddharth Shukla that is a lot, I hope the pause gives him a gentle healing time!

@Stuart Briscoe thank you! Fasting Mimicking diet or fasting or psmf? I did full fasting and PSMF protein sparing modified fasts, but not the fasting mimicking diet. Anyone know or have an opinion on which would be best in this case?

@Stuart Briscoe thank you for your insight! I did lose a lot during my treatments and I am a wonderful gainer of weight, and have gotten most of it back already, so that makes a lot of sense to me. I had to water only fast for "good" GKI numbers for years.
