If a new client ghosted you tomorrow, what part of your service delivery would you blame first?

If we are assuming specifically ghosted, probably the decision on whether to work with them or not. If a client lacks the maturity to clearly communicate what went wrong and why they wish to leave, then they are not the kind of person I would want to work with. The issue is that ghosting is so common in this space. Most people will do it. Which is probably why I attract very few clients. This leads moreso to a conversation on whether it’s even worth working in this space. If someone can work with these people, and accept getting ghosted by them, then that’s great, but I cannot.

What’s the hardest lesson you’ve learned from losing a client?

The death of any naive hopes that this would be the slingshot that would kickstart my agency. I personally wanted it really bad and defined my existence by it, which is extremely unhealthy, so when I couldn't even get results for this one person out of thousands who had refused to trust me, it was heartbreaking. He obviously wasn't happy, and I had to accept the fact that I was back to square one. So wanting something bad enough isn't enough. You have to be at peace with failure.

Following Up On Leads - Phoning Vs Messaging Vs Both Vs Neither
I'm not at this stage yet. My one client is free and has a very low budget campaign, so for him I'm just sending the leads. But when I get a paying client, I will most certainly be following up. For those who have generated sales for their clients, what's enough? In the long-term running of my agency, I'll likely only be messaging. But does both messaging and phoning have such an advantage over messaging alone that it's worth the effort? For context, this is for trade services like roofers and HVAC, therefore leaving the calling to the expert (client) might be preferable.

@Emmett McCarry True, something is better than nothing. But there are more factors to consider than work ethic. If less will achieve the same result, what's the point of doing more? Will doing both have such a more significant margin than messaging alone? What percentage difference is there? "Split test everything" that's the idea, but the purpose of this post is to alleviate that requirement by asking if people have already done so and have anything to say. Thanks for the advice.

@Will Ralfe Thanks for the information. Are there leads who have not responded to text messages, but went on to pick up phone calls and were sold by the client?
