JUNE Strong (not perfect) start!
Day 1 of June and I missed my step goal (I swear my subconscious does this intentional each time so we have some great mindset to chat on 😉) - I was short, I’m at 10,248 not because I couldn’t hit 12k, not because I don’t care, not because I sat all. - Life today but the most important part is, I’m excited to try again tomorrow! - Todays 1 hour run turned into hill sprints with my niece and nephew and Charlie for a few 😉 for 15 mins. Memories I couldn’t have got on my alone 1 hour run. - Balancing visiting and getting “on track” with sleep and still working is also a hard tasks, (hard doesn’t equal a complaint FYI 😉) - Charlie and I are sharing a bed and so I picked sleep over going on my friends treadmill. Confidence is built in the knowing and doing. I know I can hit 12k daily moving forward and average probably above that. I’ve built trust by doing the late night walks, runs etc to ensure I do not bend on the goal because I was building that trust. I also celebrate the other wins! Only 28 minutes on instagram today!!! (Not shared but 12 mins on Facebook) I’m very proud!! I also drank 1 gallon of water! So whether today was “perfect” or not for you, I hope you show up for you again tomorrow because the real gift is knowing waking up is the perfect win we are all wanting. Full day, full heart. ♥️ Thrive>Survive

Time…or the lack of it (real talk)
I keep coming back to this question lately: How do I get more time? Because right now, it feels like I don’t have any. Up at 5am. Work all day. Pick up my daughter. Straight to softball 4x/week. Home at 6:30 (if we’re lucky) or 8pm on game nights. Dinner. Bed. Repeat. And somewhere in there I’m supposed to be training for Hood to Coast, getting movement in, taking care of myself…all the things. I watched Ashlynn’s video where she mentions “saying I don’t have time is an excuse - I need to prioritize what’s important and going to move me forward” and whew… that one hit me. Because part of me is like, okay yeah, priorities. And the other part of me is like, cool, but where exactly does it fit?? Right now, the only real windows I have are Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. So I’m going to make those non-negotiable for movement. Done. But the rest of the week? I’m stuck between: - “This is just a season, give yourself some grace”and - “Are you letting yourself off the hook?” And honestly… I don’t know which one is true. So I’m curious - Have you been in a season like this? Did you push through and make it happen anyway?Or did you adjust expectations and ride it out? Where do you find time when it’s non-existent? No sugarcoating - I want the real answers. Because right now, I’m trying to figure out if I need to level up…or lighten up.

I know this feeling all too well! Every time I give myself permission to rest or “skip” something I question my “why” behind it. I don’t have a good answer but I relate to not having enough time. My ONLY saving grace is having the opportunity to work from home. If I had to commute to an office (which I did for many years plus daycare drop off and pick up) I would be in the same boat as you. Since I don’t have to commute for work I’m able to get up and get my workout in before I have to take kids to school and start my work day. With that being said I’m gross and sweaty for the day and live in sweats and sweatshirts 🫣 I also am blessed with a supportive husband - he will get kids ready while I work out in the am and we try to encourage one another to get our workout in. Not sure if you have someone who could help with practice one night a week so you can prioritize yourself? I do think this is a season for you (and me) and sometimes our priorities look different. Personally my workouts are priority (training for a marathon) so this means up early to run 5 days a week. With that being said, my house doesn’t get cleaned as much as it should and the laundry piling up in my living room is scary. We will never be able to do it ALL! I will not have a super clean house and more days than not my hair will be a mess and I’ll be sporting those comfy clothes. I feel like I’m rambling now…but just know I see you!

@Ashlynn Dohman 🤪🫠 thank goodness for dry shampoo and robot vacuums/mop 🤣🤪 The things that keep me going during the week (plus coffee)! But it can be so hard when you want to do it all at once and realize that sometimes you can’t and some things have to take a backseat. I’m also the one who has to make her own sourdough bread 🤣
Sourdough pizza toast
My latest hyper fixation meal: 2 slices sourdough bread 1 wedge laughing cow cheese 2-3 Tbsp pizza sauce (I used Rao’s) 1/3 cup cottage cheese Turkey pepperoni Shredded mozzarella Spread the laughing cow cheese on the sourdough. This helps the sauce not make it soggy! Then top with sauce, cottage cheese, pepperoni, shredded cheese and a sprinkle of Italian seasoning. I air fried mine at 350 for 5-6 minutes! 21g protein 42g carbs 10g fat

@Heather Murphy 🤣🤣 I’m just not creative when it comes to naming things. Thinking about it - I’m surprised I came up with names for my kids 😂😂

@Heather Murphy haha it was a rough start in the beginning. It’s chilly here in the winter and I would throw it in the oven with the light on and then we would forget and turn the stove on 🫣🫠 we’ve come a long way! I’m not a crazy cat woman but a crazy sourdough lady - some days I have numerous things going on at once 😂 let me know if you ever want to exchange recipes. Might have to make some discard brownies for the hood to coast group!
Question about collagen
Has anyone tried the salted caramel collagen and if so is it any good? I have tried the French vanilla years ago and it wasnt my favorite. I was using the unflavored one up until now but thinking of getting the salted caramel

@Raquel Niell I enjoy it but it can be sweet! I mix it with some unflavored collagen and that’s perfect for me
WINSday!!
A spin 😎 find and SHARE a photo of younger you and ONE thing they would be suprised that you are proud of today! We no longer hate our legs 😊 they are strong and we appreciate that more daily!! We are no longer trying to shrink or chase a body that isn’t ours, we also are helping other ladies do the same 🙏🏻 🥹.

I would encourage this girl to do the scary thing even if it might disappoint others. I would tell her that it’s ok to do what makes her happy. I would tell her that you can do hard things and to not let fear hold you back! My hard things include moving half way across the country away from my family and embracing running to see what I’m truly capable of. If I let fear hold me back I would have never known what I’m truly capable of.
