My big win was introducing yoga to my week. Let me tell you the stigma that comes along with this made me nervous. I stuck it out for the whole hour class and went to the gym as scheduled - it made a huge difference in my workouts.
Rest periods during workouts
I have put together, as mentioned before, a push pull legs workout that should take 1.5hrs to complete. I find myself always finishing after about 65 minutes. The only thing I can attribute this to is my rest between sets. I seem to take a quick breather and start the next set. Definitely not a 1-1.5 minute break in between. Does this hurt any thing? I do 4 sets any where between 12-16 reps but feel I am wasting time resting in between.

Here's something nobody tells you when you're younger: The gym doesn't get easier. You get smarter. At 20 you push through everything. At 40 you learn to feel the difference between productive discomfort and the kind that sidelines you for 3 weeks. That's not weakness. That's wisdom earned the hard way. The men in this community who are making real gains right now aren't the strongest guys in the room. They're the most consistent. They show up. They ego check at the door. Cardio ideas
All I’m struggling to put together a cardio routine. What is everyone doing for that portion of their workout? Treadmill and stationary bike really seems to bore me and I get off after 10 minutes. Looking for alternative suggestions.

Those are great ideas - could try those during the better weather months - I just live in Michigan the weather doesn't always allow for these types of adventures.

I ordered a 30lb ruck vest and signed up to do a 50 mile ruck challenge for the month of May. It is for a charity that I truly believe in so there is my motivation to make it happen. Stop Soldier Suicide.
