How do you find balance?
Many of us are so focused on our businesses that we forget to live in the moment. We forget about the little things that bring us joy. Or at least I do. How do you find balance in your regular life and build a thriving business at the same time?

I am considering changing my free group to a $9/month group
👉 I am considering changing my free group to a $9/month group here's why: My premise for having a free group is building new relationships and having them in one place. I've used email for years for this, but connection has gotten harder. I've built an fb group in the past (only 990 members) and the thing I didn't like was the low engagement., I THRIVE on engagement. So with the free skool group, the engagement is fun. But it still remains that I prefer to teach and only talk with people online when there is a serious way I can help them. With the free group, I am finding myself compelled to comment on everything . . , and most of it is not me giving helpful advice. I MUCH prefer the help I've been giving in these comments and posts. 👉The biggest reason I haven't gone to paid for the free group in the past is two-fold: 1) I viewed it as a way to build audience. But now I am seeing that the audience (YOU) right here in the Skool group is just as much of an audience as "my own free group" 2)I wanted my clients to have a ready-made group THEY could use as practice. (and yes, I'm going to ask them this same question on my live weekly coaching call in the next hour) 👉But if I were to remove those 2 criteria, I am left with the stark truth that: a) I don't like fluffy social media. I want to pick and choose and ONLY comment when the question is interesting or I can add genuine value, which I find I am doing BETTER in 10 groups like this than my own free group b) The cheap paywall keeps out the spammers (I have 12 trying to get in right now), and the low-interaction people who just joined to "see" what I am doing - but never post and drive engagement down the money doesn't matter to me . . . I make good money at $97/month and $1000 - $10 clients the $9/month would be a moat to keep those above types of people out and then: 👉The RESULT: because I am no longer spending my time sorting spammers and people who never post, etc I can spend my time giving GENUINE VALUE in my group

@Zahida A Khan I love this mindset, and I agree with all of it! I really enjoy connecting with my members, and we have extremely high, consistent engagement. Personally for me, the difference between free and dedicated coaching is access and not so much meeting and greeting! I have gamification in my group to provide education and also offer the ability to go in deeper with connection and conversation on my livestreams. So there’s a lot to do, and having some tea 🧋 with the peeps is a great time! As we grow, more and more members are stepping up in leading conversations, welcoming and offering encouragement, and this allows me to be the party 🎉 host, and let others create their own party too! If people want more, we have one off live events they can purchase, or join the our group mentorship which has more in depth 1:1 support. 😀

Stop focusing on "free"
I see so many coaches building a "free" community so that they can "ascend" 10% into a paid community So that they can "ascend" 10% of those into a high ticket program The problem with that model is twofold: a) you are constantly selling, selling, selling and trying to balance, what's free, what's paid, and at what price? b) because of the sales pressure, you often end up with just the folks who trust you the most, and can afford it, that join your highest level program BUT they are often not your ideal client based on your offer, and they are often working on different things from each other, which makes it HARD to teach everyone in the program equally well, and thus get them results. 👉But imagine instead that you had a very solid Transformational Premise in your business which is based on an EXACT ideal client, with a very specific set of needs and a program that specifically guides that exact client through to the exact transformation you are excellent at. That is the anchor of your business, your highest level program and highest level contribution. Now imagine that is priced at a higher price - one that filters for true commitment, and that matches the value of the the transformation you provide, let's say $2000 - $15k 👉So instead of a free community anchoring your business, with upsells built in, you have a paid $2k - $15k program anchoring your business. 👉Next, you have a monthly continuity program, let's say $197 or $97 / month. This continuity program is more of a membership with much less access to you than your $2k - $15k program. And it is open to more client journeys and client readiness levels than your $2k - $15k program. Anyone who wants to get closer access to you, but isn't your ideal client, isn't specifically working on your exact transformation, enrolls in your paid continuity program. Now your continuity program is no longer an "upsell" from free .. it's a downsell from your highest level program. 👉 Finally, your free community is just that . . . a free community where you deliver value and introduce like people with like people, so that they can genuinely get to learn from you and connect with others, but without the structure and proximity to you that paid members get.

Insight wonderful as always Sean!!! So are you recommending that prospects don’t even “see” your continuity membership on the free platform to move to? What I’m gathering is that this continuity membership is only offered to high ticket leads who want a secondary offer following their application? @Sean Mize

@Sean Mize Are you offering both options in your free group to move to depending on where it resonates, or do you just have one CTA for the next step?
How to Price Your Coaching 💲💲💲
I've gotten so many questions lately about pricing . . . do I start with free, then $97/$37//month, then my main coaching at a higher price ?? Or do I focus on a low ticket membership and scale it out? Or do I focus on my existing $2k - $15k program? It can be really confusing!!! So first of all, there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer It depends on so many things, for example if one coach has a strong system and gets clients results, he or she can charge 10x more than someone who is just getting started and is still earning their stripes. And it depends on your personal preference as well: Do you WANT to work closely with 10 $5000 clients each month, and know their every need . . or would you rather have 1000 people paying you $37 a month TOTALLY different psychology neither is wrong or right You have to simply decide. The good news is, your decision isn't permanent . . . you can change down the road BUT if you do nothing while waiting for the right answer . . . you stay stuck However, in all of this, I have discovered the following: With free --> $97/month --> $2k - $15k you are always having to CONVINCE people that your $97/month is 100x BETTER than you free . . and that your $10k program is 100x BETTER than your $97/month BUT . . . Imagine instead that you have a program for your highest level clients, the 1% of people who come into your world each month, and it's priced at $2k - $15k 1% of your new leads are naturally attracted to your BEST offering . . and will take it if it's available So your system looks like this instead: $2k - $15k --> $97/$37/month ---> free Instead of having to prove that one program is 100x BETTER than another Your BEST clients self-select at your highest price the other 99 think, okay I can get 100x more VALUE at $97/month and then even free clients don't get left out . . . This single reframe can COMPLETELY change your business Because instead of constantly having to "convince" people to pay MORE They self-select to get more "value" at a lower price .. .

@Alex Bohrer When I launched my free it was really an extra resource for my low ticket buyers who didn’t have a community yet. And most of them are ecstatic as I view this more as an interactive email list with my most engaged clients! Anyone else who is finding me and joining is really a bonus for me to introduce my methods and for them to get to know me! Currently, all my CTA’s in my free are going toward my higher ticket options, and my calendar shows all member tiers! I believe I have seen your profile before! What you are doing is so interesting and I’ve always wanted to learn Piano 🎹 😀😀😀

@Khan Magne I just joined your community! EVERYTHING you mentioned in your interview is the way I believe business should be done! And I haven’t had anyone ever put it into words before. Secondly, my “zig zag” approach isn’t really looked at as the main approach in terms of how the majority operates, but I have taught intuitive strategy in business for close to 25+ years and I’m sticking with it! I’d rather go deep than go wide - as the transformations I provide require more time than just a 5 minute touch in. I received so many amazing testimonials this year because I kept my group intimate and sought results. Did this take away from the total income I used to bring in in my previous model? Yes. But I believe in what I’m building and the testimonials speak for themselves. Thank you for this incredible insight and honest view of seeding vs harvesting, and how transformation requires depth and connection. I’m passionate about helping highly driven HSPS (many of them intuitive in their own right) but having a lot of self-doubt due to the small or big T (traumas). Getting them back to their own core center and making their business/life decisions FROM that place - IS the mission - and it requires a lot more than just endless research. THANK YOU again for carrying this message!
