Inexpensive Sound Booth Ideas!
I was in a Goodwill Store the other day. I saw this drafting table and immediately started getting ideas. One idea was using this a sound booth setup on top of a desk. With the purchase of a sound blanket(s), it could actually work. If anyone is still looking to develope a space for recording, this is just one of many out of the box creations. I even saw a clothing rack that could be used for a sound booth for pennies on the dollar. Just some ideas for anybody!

@Ralph Toles You can find some really great things in thrift stores. I decorated my place with items from a thrift store. No shame in my game!

Is it just me?
Since we are all on our own collective or personal VO journey, I'm curious to know something. If the further along you get into it, setting up your own booth, DAW, etc, have you started having random thoughts about any aspect of it that wake you up out of your sleep to think about? I mean, up until a few months ago, I would have never sat up in bed thinking about my Noise Floor in any particular room for recording, but here I am, lol. Silly, I know, but what random thoughts about your VO experience is keeping you up at night?

I believe that, as long as you have already cemented the decision in your mind to be come a voice over actor, the rest is a matter of implementing and moving forward. Challenges will come and go, see them as opportunities to grow, and utilize them to make you stronger in your pursuit of a successful voice over career. Have fun with it and good luck everyone!

The world's greatest business card
Yesterday I received and email from a client whom I had sent a audition to. The platform shows if they listened ( which they did) and if they like they can shortlist you ( which on the platform they DID NOT). After the cordial greetings they mentioned that they had selected me as 1 of the 5 finalist for the job ( electric truck manufacturers). Their question was that they were pressed to meet deadline and if I was selected for the job would I be able to provide a turnaround by the end ( end of day) this was at 3pm est and their end was 7pm est. My response was ABSOLUTELY ( yes actual response all caps) . At 4 pm o recieced a response that they were going in another direction, but the representative stated that I was his choice. Would I mind if they added me to there personal list of vo artists as to avoid the hassles of searching ? Again I responded yes and thanked them for just being considered Your customer service , wether you do or don't get that job can determine your jobs in the future , and establish your reputation Just my 2 cents

@Michael Ray I totally agree with you. Customer service is your first line of defense if it sucks forget about it.
Stepping out of my comfort zone...
Here's my first demo. I'd appreciate your comments. I know you are not experts, just listen as regular citizens who would hear those, and tell me if you *feel* them. Thanks!
