Why you should do the next Retreat
I plan on doing a whole writeup on my trip but just wanted to do a quick shoutout. If you're on the fence about doing this, all I can say is it's well worth your time and money. Jeff knows what he's doing and it really did make all the difference in the world to have the hands on instruction and feedback. You simply can't make progress as quickly as when you have in person support. Being a confident swimmer really has already started to drastically improve my quality of life. I have more fun on vacation, I enjoy going to my buddies pool, I am losing weight, improving my hip mobility, increasing my endurance cardio and heart health, and the mindfulness first approach to swimming Caribe Swim uses has helped my asthma/anxiety both in and out of the water.

Just a little peak into what the experience is like:
Wanting to love swimming
I recently moved to a warm climate and want to learn to love swimming now that the water is warm enough for me to enjoy it!

I like to do this, I call it the creeper: walk around in the shallow part of the pool with your nose just breaking the surface of the water and blow bubbles. Do this until you are having fun with your face under water, then slowly start doing forward floats. another important thing is to have goggles that really work for you. that will help improve the comfort of being under water. also try swimming ear plugs and a head cap. I find these make me enjoy the water more.
Breathing
I have followed your instructions in taking a breath, holding for a count of 2 breathing out slowly on count 3 then while pulling your arms back take a breath. My problem is after putting my head back in the water I sink to far not staying close to the surface for the next pull of the arms to go forward. What am I doing wrong? I wish I could take a video to show you what I’m talking about but don’t have anyone at the pool to do that for me.

I was having the same issue. What fixed it for me was to not be exhaling the entire time your face is under water, because doing so makes you sink. Doing a small exhale through the nose shortly before turning to inhale keeps me buoyant.
Poll: New Swimmer Welcome Kit!
Caribe Nation, We are considering building a 'New Swimmer Welcome Kit' that includes the goggles, caps, shammies, shampoos, body wash, ear drops, etc, that we recommend. Is this something that would help / something you would have / would consider purchasing through Caribe Swim as a trusted brand? P.S. Add comments on products I did not list that you would want to include!

Can you do half off 6 day group retreat? I could afford that and could bring my partner. Two for the price of one?

I want to buy a sail boat and learn scuba diving, so I need to learn how to swim first.
