"Cornerstone of Ayurveda" Call recording
Quick recap We got deep on today's call! Talking about the philosophies that Ayurveda is based around. The group began their session with a guided meditation and yoga exercises led by Lisa, who then transitioned into a comprehensive lecture on Ayurveda and its historical context. Lisa explored various Indian philosophies and their connections to yoga, including discussions on the five elements and three doshas that form the foundation of Ayurvedic principles. The session concluded with breakout room discussions on philosophical concepts related to yoga and Ayurveda, followed by announcements about upcoming workshops and materials to be shared in their school space. NOTES FROM CALL **Autobiography of a Yogi is on audiobook on Spotify- it is included in Spotify Premium. Attached is my "Shad Darshan" (6 philosophies) summary- these are all my notes from ayurveda school on the 6 philosophies condensed and summarized.

Body Thrive call- Habit 9- "Come to Your Senses" Healing the 5 Senses
Quick recap The meeting focused on discussing Chapter 9 of "Body Thrive," specifically the habit of "Come to Your Senses." Lisa explained how Ayurveda views the senses differently from conventional medicine, emphasizing their potential for improvement with proper care. She shared practices such as tongue scraping, eye washing, ear oiling, and nasal oiling, highlighting their benefits and how they can be integrated into daily routines. Jamie expressed interest in trying the nasal oil practice due to neck and shoulder tension. They also discussed alternative methods Jamie had used for sinus relief and her experience with a medium, which she found unfulfilling. Lisa agreed to research more about cataract prevention and provide additional resources for the discussed practices.
