Pra group WIN 🥳
Huge thank you to @Peter Wilson for the help needed to fight these parasites 🙏 Well yesterday was the final hearing on my Barclays debt which pra group bought my personal information. I was lucky to have pra help my case by not adhering to a court order of supplying the deed of assignment they said previously they had They were supposed to send a copy to myself by the 26th nov but nothing turned up They tried to give me a copy just before the hearing which I basically told her to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. Regret that now as I wish I’d of seen all the bullshit they put together which the judge noticed didn’t even have my name on any of it just an amount and an account number amongst quite a few pages basically telling the judge to join all the dots ! He turned to me and said it looks like you’re going to have an easy afternoon mr sibson which made my day ! Peter had fantastically put together a fee schedule which pra solicitor challenged but the judge added another days rate to it and increased it from £325 to £410 costs, she tried to ask for 28 days to pay which he actually laughed at and said no you have 14 days to pay him so a great win. I held the door for her on the way out and said lovely to meet you which I’m pretty sure she knew I was taking the piss !! Stand up and fight everyone, it’s not an easy ride but you have to do it ! Thanks everyone for all your support too, a fantastic community ❤️ Cheers Gary 😎

Fantastic news - PRA never showed up to our hearing and its been 4 weeks since the date. I am hoping it is done - judge striked it out for no show.
PRA Grp Portfolios instructing PRA Grp??
Lucky me, I have PRA Grp after me for my Lloyds CC, I also have Wescott and Moorcroft for 2 others. My partner went to court 3 weeks ago with PRA but they never showed even though they were the claimant and had done everything as if they would. Need to follow up next steps to get rid of them for good and credit score set straight. Just wondered if you know why Llloyds are saying it is sold to PRA Grp Portfolios but they are instructing PRA Grp to manage the account, what is the reasoning?? Last time PRA switched to PRA Portfolios midway and were trying to pass that paperwork off as the deed in their bundle.

Thank you, I did put it in chatbot after I messaged here and got this info which is gold. I thought it was the same as they tried previously but wanted to check I wasn't missing anything or that they have new tactics. Cheers
Pra group result
Well I feel I had a great day in county court today vs pra group, they were adamant that they only needed a notice of assignment, I was adamant they needed a legally executed deed of assignment, the judge sided with me and they have 28 days to send myself and the court a redacted one and they have to bring an un redacted one for him to see at the final hearing. Massive thank you @Peter Wilson for your slide show and video ‘can you beat debt collectors in court’ it seems to have worked. Just need to brush up on legally executed so I can challenge a spread sheet !

@Ali Bee PRA Group did not even turn up! This is the 2nd time we have gone to court - the first time the judge was ill so it got pushed to today which suited us as we were not ready back in July. Today the judge ruled a strike out under CPR 39.3 (1) (b) - so as long as PRA do not try to set the strike out aside it should be done. Why they did not show I have no idea. They did everything else even resending the bundle so it makes no sense. Give 7-14 days for them to comply with the setting aside rules if nothing happens then I guess it is done. We then want to get everything tied up so we can set our credit score right and ensure no other DCA can come knocking. Even the judge was baffled as to why they would go through all this then not show up. Maybe I will have a script nex time (other CC's to deal with) should they not turn up so I know what I could ask the judge or clarify with them to get it done there and then. Not sure if you can. PRA can do the following: - They cannot lawfully pursue the claim any further unless and until they apply for an order to set aside under CPR 39.3(3). - They bear the burden under CPR 39.3(5) to prove: - They acted promptly; - Had a good reason for missing court; - Have a real prospect of success. If they fail to satisfy any one of those 3 tests, they cannot be reinstated. All this is thanks to Peter and the chatbot ........ We are very lucky to have all this at our fingertips.
HRT - any views on taking it/not taking it
Hi all A little off the usual topics, but there is a lot of knowledge in this group, so i thought i'd run this one by you 😊 My wife, currently in the peri-menopause phase, has recently decided to go on to HRT for a few reasons. The main one is about bone density as her mother suffers very badly with osteoporosis, my wife has done quite a lot of research and all indicators suggest that HRT will help with that. As a family we do a lot to look after ourselves, exercise (yoga, strength training with weights and body weight, walking), we don't eat meat but have a very well balanced diet otherwise, fasting, breath-work (think Wim Hoff). My wife just turned fifty ... seriously she looks forty ❤️ , she hasn't been to the Dr's for over a decade. I can't help the nagging feeling i have about her taking pharmaceutical products, even though all her research suggest the HRT will only help her 🤷‍♂️ I'd welcome any views or links to different perspectives, thanks 🙏

I'm currently doing a menopause coaching course with the College of Functional Wellness and I really like the ladies who put this together. They know there stuff and seem to be aware of what is going on in the grand scheme of things - their book Improving Menopause Experience through Nutrition and Lifestyle is a great read (Singing Dragon sell this), plus they have loads of free videos online, they offer consultations if you want support/need extra support. They do not like HRT - any synthetic chemicals are not recommended (they speak of those they would recommend and help how to address your doctor should you need to ask for bioidentical options) but they do give you lots to work on (lifestyle/nutrition) and help support you in other avenues. They are massive advocates for Progesterone and our lack of that rather than Estrogen dominance - diet really is the place to start. Really great place to boost your knowledge. I also like Dr Wendy Sellen - estorgen-free.com (she wrote Soy Boys) She has a lot to say on estrogen dominance and the lack of progesterone/testosterone, that cause our imbalances. So many estrogen mimicking things we are exposed to - the need for estrogen shouldn't be till after menopause not peri or during and def never synthetic. You can get DUTCH tests that can show you where you are at as well.
can there be 2 x settlors in a private trust?
Hi all, can myself and my partner (not married) both be settlors in a trust? I want a private trust for both our assets but not both of us are named on the mortgage/cars etc. Can I just put us both in as settlors/trustees/benificeries with all our assets....... all our assets, like we have much... hahaha - Using the same docs that are in the private trust classroom.
