🤔 Picking The Wrong Niche Won't Kill You (I Promise 🤝)
Is selecting the right niche really that important? Well yea, but let's put some meat on that bone. It is important, I have a niche and it helps a lot. But only a well educated person (and by well educated, I mean educated on market desires, not skills) can just select the right niche and be successful. What I mean is, only someone that knows a niche well, someone that has researched it, and knows the problems well can just select a niche out of the blue and serve them. Only a person that has that type of mindset can just "select" a niche and run with it successfully. There are some people that can do that, they just go talk to people, find a problem, and solve it. That takes a special type of person, one who's only motivated by the "game" of business. They could careless about their passions, what they prefer, they only care about money, they go find a problem, and then they solve it. They could care less if they enjoy the work. If you do that things can happen very fast for you. BUT. Most of us, are driven by our passions. We are not like that, it's not JUST for the money, it's to live a life we love. When you're driven by passion, success requires you to develop a valuable skill within your zone of genius. You'll have to twist, turn, and flop around a bit until you match that with passion with people that want to hire you. That means you just have to get out there and help people, and eventually your niche will pick you. That is, if you're doing the work and pushing forward without the perfect answer. Your niche, your unique selling proposition isn't a course module away, where you fill out yet another GURU's business template. Do you really want to fill out another ICP module?? How many times have you done that now? how many times has it helped? I can't stand those anymore. No! Your niche and unique ability is found in doing work for people, having success, having failures, doing more of this, less of that, and iterating on that until you find your zone.

@Sterling Matheson Probably yes, but IMO... it's more about "how much time do you have" kinda thing. I think FilmBooth (YouTube) and perhaps Hormozi/others have talked about it like if you only have a limited resource – X hours per day or 12 oz of water – you can spread that across multiple niches/endeavors, but then each one only gets a portion of your time/energy/effort so they might grow smaller or take much longer to grow. Another analogy is from the old "The Pumpkin Plan: A Simple Strategy to Grow a Remarkable Business in Any Field (Entrepreneurship Simplified)" book (search Amazon) that relates how award winning pumpkins are grown by ruthlessly cutting out everything that doesn't go towards that ONE BIG pumpkin... like even other pumpkins on the same vine will take away nutrients (and the farmer's time) to grow that ONE bigger. From my experience... if you're just starting out... you can grow BIG as fast as possible by focusing on just ONE thing you love, are great at doing, and that there's a market for out there. Bonus if you create a system around it, and having awesome systems (like @Stephen G. Pope 's creation engines) can totally help maximize time, too!
Are You Making This HUGE Mistake With Your Business?
It's a funny clip so watch it, but I see this all too often (and it's not all that funny to the person suffering). And I've done it myself, so you're not alone. Actually, after I sold my previous company I did this (or some form of it). I call it—Imaginary business building. The website, the tagline, the chatbot. Oh, and don't forget the business cards.... But NO business. Everyone can see it but you. I have a client, a 40 person content team doing $100K/month and they JUST started to build their website. Yet people with no business, spend hours and hours and hours building things that no customer will ever see. And if they do, they won't really even understand what you do. Sell first, get customers first. Come up with an idea. Grab your phone, call a few people you know. Make some content. Have a Calendly link to book calls. Sell some stuff on those calls. That's all you need to be doing when you're starting out. P.S this is exactly what I'm going to be helping people with in my new community the No-code Rebels (with regard to automation and AI businesses)!

😞 It's Not Always Suppose To Feel Good
Yesterday I posted a potential icon for my new community. I thought it was pretty cool. The majority didn't. I have to admit it didn't feel good. And this post isnt really about the logo, I'll be fine 🙂 its just to show you that you're not alone. And it reminded me of countless other videos and posts that I've made on social that made me feel the exact same way. I wanted to delete the poll to be honest. But I didn't. Because that wouldn't have be fair to the many people that took the time to vote and comment on the post. I learned a lot. I think that's the key. The comments were quite insightful. Thank you btw 🙏 You have to understand that more than anything, social media, community, posting, etc... is first and foremost a place to learn, to gain insights. The profits only come after the insights and learnings. You can't get those insights if you don't post it, if you delete everything you post. It's not about winning every time time. Winning comes after losing. So just get those loses over with already so you can win.

Definitely number three! I wasn’t sure if you intended us to go with the beginning of a YouTube video? But if so, I would also suggest to perhaps shorten it even more. Most of us only have 3 to 5 seconds to really catch someone’s attention on YouTube and I’m not sure logo reveals are recommended on the front of the YouTube video… But I’m not expert in YouTube algorithms lol. BTW number three stood out to me as best because your actual company name shows up early. It doesn’t leave people wondering in case they are not familiar with K.

@Stephen G. Pope NP and hats off to your video editor!
Does your mind go blank
…when you need a fresh hook for a video? I’d stop scrolling if I heard “Here’s why I don’t believe in [common practice ].” Which of these gets your attention? Some of these are better hooks than I’ve heard before. I hope this helps. Full list at: https://angiegensler.com/110-social-media-hooks-that-grab-attention/?epik=dj0yJnU9Y3V5U0twR180cENwelRENzZGc1NDYXFRTjlXN1M3b00mcD0wJm49d1A1UkVHMkRkNDVjMnoyeHZ3TVc3dyZ0PUFBQUFBR1gtTmVN

I hadn't seen a one-stop list like that before, thanks for sharing it! I don't have a particular fav since many of them can be great depending on context...

BTW for fun I asked Google Gemini (an LLM like ChatGPT) the following question: - Here are 110 social media "hooks" intended to stop the scroll. (1) Give me feedback on them. (2) Re-order them according to highest conversion probability. And it came back with the following... perhaps matter of opinion and maybe another GPT / LLM would give different results (especially if you tell it which social media channels your targeting), but might be interesting insights. === GPT EVALUATION Here's my feedback and re-ordering of your social media hooks. I've focused on hooks that strike a balance between grabbing attention, offering value, and being relevant to a broad audience. ➡ Top-Tier Hooks (High conversion potential) - Want to know something crazy? _______ [unexpected fact or revelation]. (Intrigue is key!) - Can I share a secret? The best ________ [topic] strategy is _______. (Exclusivity, insider knowledge) - I don't know who needs to hear this, but _______ [encouraging or motivating statement]. (Relatable, builds community) - How to ___________ [positive result] in just _____ [number] easy steps! (Clear value proposition) - You'll never believe this transformation in _______ [aspect of life or work]. (Promises a dramatic reveal) - Comment FIRE if you want ________ [benefit or result] for yourself! (Interactive, encourages engagement) - I can't believe I'm sharing this _______ [personal experience or tip]. (Vulnerability + valuable info) - What happened when I __________. (Stories sell, piques curiosity) - Unpopular opinion: _______ [bold statement or perspective]. (Sparks debate, strong stance) - If you have one _______ [goal], start doing this! (Clear call to action + focuses on a singular goal) ➡ Mid-Tier Hooks (Still good, situation-dependent) - Lessons I learned from overcoming blunders in _______ [specific situation or activity]. (Authenticity, but niche appeal) - Ever ask yourself, how can I improve my _______ [aspect of life or work]? (Broadly relatable but common) - Are you struggling with _________? This should solve your problem! (Problem-focused, needs strong follow-through) - Tag a friend who needs to see this. (Good for shareability) - You need to hear this today: _______ [uplifting or motivating message]. (Can come across overly generic) - Did you know that _______ [statistic] of people struggle with _______ [common issue]? (Needs a unique stat/issue combo) - Comment something you've heard about ________ that might be a myth! (Can be great IF strong myths exist) - ______ [number] ways to level up your _______ [specific area] game! (Standard format, needs super compelling topic) - Calling all _______ [specific group]! Resist the urge to _______. Here's why. (Niche dependent)
