40+
Anyone else wait until they were older to learn to skate? I've had so many people, including my kids, poke fun at me for starting now.

I restarted at 47. I knew how to skate forward as a kid. And fell in love with it again at my fabulous mature age. Let them laugh at you, laugh along with them because you will mess up, fall here and there, and it's all good and fun! Enjoy your skating journey! ๐Ÿคฉ

Plant those plugs firmly and put a pillow behind you to get over the fear. I feel like you're already there, you just have to get over that fear, and you'll get it! Great job!! ๐Ÿคœ๐Ÿค›
Knee sleeve/brace?
Hi! Does anyone have recommendations on good knee sleeves for supporting an acting up knee? Iโ€™ve been using a basic knitted sleeve, but would need something a bit more stabilizing that still allows movement. Are the urethane ones for weight lifters the way to go or is there better options? Not too keen on the strap on ones, and thereโ€™s no real injury that needs to be fixed. The need is for lateral support so the single straps donโ€™t work.

I'm rehabbing my knee from a torn meniscus. I'm using the knee wrap that you can get in CVS/Walgreen, and on top of it I either use Old Bones that has the reinforced knee bit if I'm just doing normal stuff, or if I'm learning new tricks or doing a lot of grapevine, matrix, spins, I use this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Z1KR35O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
