Knee sleeve/brace?
Hi! Does anyone have recommendations on good knee sleeves for supporting an acting up knee? I’ve been using a basic knitted sleeve, but would need something a bit more stabilizing that still allows movement. Are the urethane ones for weight lifters the way to go or is there better options? Not too keen on the strap on ones, and there’s no real injury that needs to be fixed. The need is for lateral support so the single straps don’t work.

@Kiki Wilkinson which one of the old bones you are using, the spring or the hinge? The one in the link is similar to what I currently wear, a bit heavy for easy and chill skating but a must now for anything more challenging
Arius plate too advanced for an intermediate skater?
Looking to upgrade my set! I'm trying to decide if the 45 degree angles of the Arius plates should only be used with caution for advanced/elite skaters, or can help an intermediate skater get used to them?

@Alona S I skate on Mistral and Arius. Both are wonderful plates! IMO Mistral is not as forgiving for mistakes as Arius. The toe plug is a way closer to the ground on Mistral. Also Roll-line kingpin is hanging low so no smaller-than-usual wheels. Just keep in mind the roll-line plates are metric so toe plugs (if not using the plastic ones that fit everywhere) and stoppers need to be metric too.
Axel too long???? Need washers????
I changed my wheels recently and noticed that the axel is sticking out a bit further than the wheel. I have the stock Moxi Lolly and changed from derby wheels to Rollerbones Team wheels (57mm). Is this normal for the stock Moxi Lolly, or did I buy wheels too narrow? I’m surprised because the store had wheels that were even more narrow and I was under the impression that you could swap in and out most wheels on most skates without issues. I bought some washers because it seems…. hazardous to hardwood floors. Is this a common thing?

All wheels and axels are a bit different, use washers to adust them so that the axel is not sticking out of the wheel.
What surface are you skating on?
This is a topic I dont see talked about too much. I feel like it matters a lot more than you would think. Whenever I'm on wood it feels slicker while my home rink has this really grippy stuff which makes doing pivots harder. What wheel hardness do you use for different surfaces?
