Skate wobbling
Has anyone attempted to go into a toe manual or when skating backwards, and you put you directional foot on its toe. the foot that goes up on its toes wobbles uncontrollably hard. I've asked a couple people at my rink has this ever happened, and no one knew or could remember. What is this called if ther is a name for it; how could i stop it, and why does it happen.
The Fundamentals Live Recording 📹
We had a great call going over some of what I consider to be, the fundamentals of roller skating. I felt the need to explain the fundamentals because it's what I teach every week in all my beginner classes, and it applies to even the more advanced skills skaters are trying to develop. I thought this would be useful for the most amount of people. I focus on three main concepts in this lesson, which are: - Edges - Weight distribution - Weight transfer from one foot to the other When you understand some of these key concepts, then you start to understand what you're doing with your body or what someone else is doing when you're watching and trying to learn from someone else. That helps you focus and duplicate more effectively. I give examples for beginner levels and advanced levels, and some drills on how to practice it and explanations on understanding it. Tell me what y'all think.

Skate Maintenance Routine
I have two pairs of skates, and I’m noticing sounds, feelings and wobbles. My new skate wheels are starting to get some dirt on them and my cannonball feels a little funky. Curious: - How often do you rotate YOUR wheels? - Do you check your skates before or after each session? What are you looking for? - Are there signs that you need to clean or lube your bearings? How long does this process usually take? - Do you plan ahead when it’s time clean to ensure you’re ready to roll when it’s time? - What tools do you swear by/consider must have? (I own an Y tool, but considering a bearing puller/cleaning set)
