I don’t know if anyone else here has pets… But the looks on my dogs’ faces as I rolled through the house for the first time… Priceless! The look I got was somewhere in between alarm and judgment 🤣 How about y’all? Can you skate around your pets? Do they want to fight the skates? Do they try to trip you? 🛼🐶

Hi, I am Rhianna 22 year old roller skater from the UK Birmingham. I have been on skating journey for 7 months now. I haven't really been consistent for the last 3 months as been struggling to find a balance. I decided to tap in this community hoping to learn & get inspired by other like-minded people.

Finally replaced my Chicago Skates of 10 years. I researched for 2 weeks and had to come to a decision within my budget! For 60 bucks! I had my heart set on the floral Impalas but I thought these Papaisson “leather uppers” would sustain. When I become an intermediate skater, I will get suede! But for now, I’m content. I need to break them in a bit!

Does anyone deal with chronic pain? How does rollerskating affect your chronic pain? Any tips, tricks?

Anyone else wait until they were older to learn to skate? I've had so many people, including my kids, poke fun at me for starting now.
