Skate Deodorizers - Linked
Hey everyone! I was showing @Knejie Allen some deodorizers that I got for my skates and wanted to share the link with everyone. They’re called Boot Bananas and they soak up moisture/deodorize your skates. You just put them in after each session. The bananas turn brown as they start to fill with moisture. Once they’re fully “ripe” (brown) you toss them and get a new set. They smell like a mix of herbs, not banana. 🛼🍌 Amazon link below - they’re $20: https://a.co/d/0f5kjeIl Happy skating everyone! I’m working on my crossovers right now, trying to find the confidence in moving and stepping. ♥️

Thanks Blair! Just ordered mine, I usually just spray and open them up to get air after a session, but this is gonna make life a little bit easier and make them smell a little bit fresher.
The Fundamentals Live Recording 📹
We had a great call going over some of what I consider to be, the fundamentals of roller skating. I felt the need to explain the fundamentals because it's what I teach every week in all my beginner classes, and it applies to even the more advanced skills skaters are trying to develop. I thought this would be useful for the most amount of people. I focus on three main concepts in this lesson, which are: - Edges - Weight distribution - Weight transfer from one foot to the other When you understand some of these key concepts, then you start to understand what you're doing with your body or what someone else is doing when you're watching and trying to learn from someone else. That helps you focus and duplicate more effectively. I give examples for beginner levels and advanced levels, and some drills on how to practice it and explanations on understanding it. Tell me what y'all think.

Muscle memory FTW
Hopped on the 8s today and surprisingly, it felt more stable than the previous times I’ve been on. Felt good enough to add to the regimen. I’m really taking this one step at a time (literally). I am still learning to master backwards, but I’ve added crossovers. I definitely realize I have a “scared side” as I am more comfortable attempting to cross the left leg over the right. I feel awkward and almost always felt like I was going to fall going the opposite direction. But the struggle continues. While I’m nowhere near good or even smooth enough going backwards, I do feel a lot more comfortable than I did even just 3 days ago. Let’s me know that @Knejie Allen wws absolutely right about muscle memory. Thanks bawse!
