A simple one I have been doing is about 1/3 of a banana, Chocolate protein powder, almond milk, honey, and ice to make it a little slushy
Weather & Mood
“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.” ~Jenny Han It’s the first Monday in June, and I’m super excited about what’s to come in our small group here! Did you know that summertime is a season of expansion, energy, and play? For many people, energy levels are at an all-time high during the summer. This is partly due to the days being longer and more sunshine (vitamin D). We also tend to move our bodies more and spend more time in nature. “There’s an undeniable connection between weather and overall mood,” according to Summer Soothes Our Senses—and Our Souls. Since energy levels often peak in summer (before it gets too hot), I want to spend time this month discussing some topics that should be top of mind during the summer months. Think fatigue/adrenal (stress) support, inflammation control (inflammation is often exacerbated with hotter temps), skin health, and emotional well-being! Whether you realize it or not, your body reacts differently during each season of the year, and with energy levels spiking right now, I think it’s the perfect time to take advantage of some new overall health education! ☀️ TAKING ACTION: ✅ Comment SUMMER below if you love summertime! Do you feel you have more energy when summer arrives, especially before it gets too warm?

Eating On Vacation
When it comes to vacationing, it’s important to note that there is no wrong or right approach. Comprehensively speaking, the correct approach is the approach that works best for you. Do you need a full week’s rest? Take it. Do you need a few nights of eating dinner out without worrying about ingredients? Do it. Just know and understand if you’ve been eating healthy, that these “cheats or breaks” will most likely make you sick. 🫣 One vacation may look different than another vacation for you, and that’s perfectly okay! Honor what your body and mind need, but remember that everything can’t be a vacation; therefore, you have to be intentional with what you justify as a vacation vs. what is just a weekend getaway, etc. 💯 If your goal is to stay on track as much as possible, it’s always a great idea to travel with healthy snacks. It’s important to consider easy snacks with protein, fiber, and minimal processed sugar. I’ve attached some ideas below! ⬇️ 21 Top Healthy Travel Snacks (Dietitian Approved) - Once Upon a Pumpkin Most of these snacks can easily be thrown in a bag or small cooler, making them great for car rides, beach days, or anything in between! ⭐️ While snacks are great, it’s important to remember that eating snacks on the beach all day probably isn’t the best idea, as not eating full meals with a proper amount of nutrients could lead to overeating later in the day. Enjoy your intentional snacks, but don’t bypass fueling your body well while vacationing! TAKING ACTION: ✅ Do you have a favorite healthy snack you always keep on hand when traveling or vacationing? Share them below!

I like to take nuts with me when I am on the go. They help fill me up and hold me over longer. I usually grab cashews, but these are what I’ve been snacking on and they’re really good
