My Montagne Collection
- Image — Amouage Reflection Man. Very solid take on Reflection Man. It captures the clean, floral, classy masculine DNA, but the original feels smoother, brighter, and more refined. - Image 45 — Amouage Reflection Man 45One of the better Montagnes. It gives the richer, creamier Reflection 45 feel, but the original has more depth, polish, and luxury. - Empyr Cologne — Bvlgari Le Gemme Empyr gets the smoky, woody, spicy idea across well. The original probably feels denser, more expensive, and more complex. - Azonto — Byredo Bal d’Afrique. Good for the general citrus-floral-woody vibe. The original feels airier, smoother, and more elegant, but Azonto gives the same style for less. - Pineapple Absolu — Creed Aventus Absolu captures the darker pineapple Aventus-style profile. The original has better blending and a more natural expensive feel, but this scratches the itch. - Irish Verbena — Creed Green Irish Tweed. Very wearable green, clean, classic masculine scent. The original feels more natural and refined, but this gives the same gentlemanly direction. - Buko Intense — Creed Virgin Island Water. Good tropical lime-coconut vibe. The original is smoother and more relaxed, but Buko Intense is a strong casual summer alternative. - Bleu Talisman — Ex Nihilo Blue Talisman. Really good modern fruity-fresh profile. The original feels more polished and airy, but Montagne gets the easy, clean, sweet-fresh vibe right. - Hudson County — Gissah Hudson Valley gives a fresh, clean, modern direction. The original may feel richer and more finished, but this should work well as an easy daily wear. - Pacific Moss — Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Moss. Nice fresh aquatic-mossy style. The original feels more natural and coastal, but Montagne gives you the casual warm-weather vibe. - Herbs Garden — Guerlain Herbes Troublantes. Gets the herbal fresh, aromatic idea. The Guerlain will feel more delicate and refined, but this works if you want that fresh green-herbal feel. - Eden — Initio Rehab: Very good cozy aromatic lavender/spice/wood scent. The original is smoother, creamier, and more luxurious, but Eden gives the Rehab mood very well. - Another 14 — Le Labo Another 13Good clean musky skin-scent style. The original feels more transparent and mysterious, but this gives the same minimal, clean aura. - Eau Gaiac — Le Labo Gaiac 10Nice soft smoky wood profile. The original is quieter, smoother, and more elegant, but this captures the meditative woody vibe. - Eau Rose — Le Labo Rose 31Gives the spicy woody rose idea. The original feels more textured and natural, but this is a good way to wear that rose-wood DNA. - Eau Matcha — Le Labo Thé Matcha 26Good tea/fig/woody relaxed scent. The original feels smoother and more subtle, but this gives the calm niche vibe. - Cacti Garden — Louis Vuitton Cactus Garden. Fresh green tea/citrus style. The original likely feels more sparkling and airy, but this gives the same easy hot-weather direction. - Imaginary — Louis Vuitton Imagination. One of Montagne’s strongest styles. It captures the tea-citrus clean luxury vibe, but the original has more lift, sparkle, and refinement. - Imaginary Intense — Louis Vuitton Imagination: A stronger, fuller take on that same DNA. Not exactly the same as the original, but very useful if you want more punch and body. - Meteorite — Louis Vuitton MétéoreGood clean citrus-spicy fresh scent. The original feels smoother and more expensive, but this gives the same easy upscale fresh profile. - Chilly Pacific — Louis Vuitton Pacific Chill. Very good fruity, minty fresh style. The original is more polished and luxurious, but this gets the elegant, fresh idea across. - Port d’Azure — Loumari Porthole. Good tropical aquatic fruit feel. The original may feel more rounded and niche, but this gives you the fun vacation-style profile. - Gentle Silver — MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver: Good crisp juniper musky aromatic scent. The original feels cleaner, smoother, and more refined, but this is a strong everyday alternative. - Citrus Rose — MFK L’Homme À la Rose gets the fresh rose-citrus idea. The original feels richer and more polished, but this gives the same modern fruity-woody idea. - Perceval — Parfums de Marly Percival. Very solid blue-fresh clean scent. The original feels smoother and better blended, but this covers the same mass-appealing, fresh masculine lane. - Elysian Cologne — Roja Elysium: Good citrus-aromatic fresh scent. Montagne Discount
Just a heads up for anyone looking to purchase from Montagne. Now through April 19, they have a 10% discount code REDDIT10 plus free shipping on all their fragrances. They only do this once or twice a year, so if you were on the fence or waiting to make a purchase, this is a good time to do it. Also, they just released new inspirations of Byredo Gypsy Water (one of my top 3 all-time favorite fragrances), Byredo Mojave Ghost (and an amazing summer fragrance that does well in high heat), and a Tom Ford one that I don't really care for (Neroli Portofino). I already have Mojave Ghost, but I might order that Gypsy Water to get their take on it. I'm a big fan of their versions of Another 13 and Torino 22.

Black Friday Sales Word of Warning....
The Parfums dropped a 15% off code today, but… yeah, they also bumped their prices since yesterday!! First screenshot is from yesterday, second is from just a few minutes ago. And it’s not just one fragrance, they did this across most of their lineup. Let this be a reminder, folks: a lot of these “sales” aren’t really sales. Sure, you might end up paying $5–$10 less, but raising the base price right before offering a discount is pretty disingenuous. And it’s not just The Parfums—this happens across tons of stores this week. Please do some research before pulling the trigger and don't fall for the FOMO that comes with Black Friday!!

Interesting, I took a screenshot of the fragrances I want to get this black Friday since October just so I can compare prices.
SOTD Turath by The Spirit of Dubai
Dubai - Turath by The Spirit of Dubai is a complex and exotic fragrance, renowned for its unique blend of sweet, smoky, and fruity notes. My recent exploration of Middle Eastern fragrances led me to this particular scent, which was a blind buy influenced by the positive reviews and intriguing notes. Although there are over 50 notes listed, the essence of this perfume is a floral oud with a fruity, musky texture and spicy undertones. It projects well without being overwhelming and is not a room-filler. The perfume boasts a long-lasting and sophisticated scent, making it ideal for formal or special occasions. Prominent notes include agarwood (oud), rose, sandalwood, and a resinous, smoky base. The opening (top notes) presents a bright and juicy burst of sweet and sour fruits, such as strawberry, apple, peach, and coconut, balanced by the fresh citrus of bergamot. Some reviewers have mentioned that this fruity opening can come across as synthetic. As the scent settles, a complex floral and spicy heart (middle notes) emerges, featuring rose, jasmine, iris, and violet, interwoven with warm spices like saffron and coriander. Woody notes of agarwood (oud), sandalwood, and cedar begin to establish a rich, warm base. The final and most enduring impression (base notes) is a rich, smoky, and musky trail. Key base notes include incense, leather, ambergris, vanilla, and white musk, with the oud and sandalwood providing a creamy, deep foundation. Turath is a unisex fragrance, suitable for everyday wear or special occasions, though it leans toward cooler weather due to its warmth and depth. Definitely not a blind buy, safe fragrance. Although I like it, I am hesitant to recommend it because it is a departure from modern European perfumery while not sitting within the classic Arabian model.

This is one fragrance I have on my list that I can't wait to try, I like the fact that it's a complex one and to me it's unique.
