Hello March - It's Speak + Be Seen Time
I've got this fun idea....
I'm trying something new in my group this month and love your thoughts on this. For the past 2 months I’ve been running themed, multi-day live experiences. My idea is: Build it live together. Keep the replays + workbook + AI Prompt in the classroom. Use it as both a learning asset and a conversion event👍 So far we’ve gone deep: 🌿7 - Days of Clarity & Focus (now a part of our 7 day onboarding) 🌿5-Day Decision Closed Sprint (decision capacity builder) Good stuff to keep in the classroom. Potential SLO content later. This month I’m pivoting. I feel a need for some playful embodiment. Less reflection. Less deep. Less long. Goal: 60-90 minute live special event. Real learning disguised as a party😉 I'm building a Bingo game-style word-swap event where we'll practice replacing shrinking language ("I just..."I'm sorry, but...", "Maybe...") with grounded authority-building language. I can see this like a practice lab for voice and visibility work. But...party style 🤗 Curious... For those of you who do transformational work or have a reflective space, have you pivoted to do something lighter and gamified like this? Love to chat with you about how it worked for you. Do you feel it diluted the depth of the work? Brought a welcome energy shift into your work? If you've never done this and want to follow along to see how it goes, that's welcome as well!
I've got this fun idea....

Do I owe you an apology? 😁
Quick tongue-in-cheek but very real social experiment for the ladies… What’s something you’ve apologized for recently that wasn't actually wrong but you felt bad about anyways🤪? 👇 Pick one:

@Traci Poe I know, right? You sound like a beautiful compassionate soul🙏 I was an overapologizer when I left home. Had no idea I defaulted to apologizing for even taking up space. Then I had a boss who told me that it was so annoying and that I would lose respect in the professional space if I kept over apologizing. But I constantly encounter women apologizing for all these things! I credit this to conditioning from somewhere.

@Amanda Owens I know, right? Well I hope this helps us all recognize where the urge to apologize comes up and where we'll pause next time and question it.

That was fun! I got to see so many great community owners, post types, voices. Even joined a new community from it. Well done.
Are you a good girl? #frenzy
Be honest… Badasses don’t give a sh*te what other people think. But you? You rewrite the text three times so it doesn’t sound “too much.” You add a smiley face so it feels softer. You explain your decision… just in case. You say yes because it’s easier than the tension. You replay the conversation later and wince. You wonder if you came off arrogant. You reopen decisions at 3 am because “what if…” You don’t want to be difficult. Or dramatic. Or full of yourself. So you stay reasonable. Approachable. Easy. Good girls either struggle to break out Or overfunction and burn themselves out That's not valiant or commendable. That’s good girl conditioning. And it keeps powerful women small. Overextended. Second-guessing. Abandoning themselves to keep everyone else comfortable. If you felt seen (and slightly exposed 😅)… You don’t have to become a full-blown badass overnight. You just have to go BOLD-er. More honest. More self-trusting. More direct. Less apologetic. Badass? Optional. Bold-er? Powerful. 🔥 I’m Jen. With 30+ years of lived and learned experience, I help women liberate themselves from good girl conditioning. Come practice with us inside the Good Girl Gone Bold Club. Ditch the old script and go bold!

@Nikki K That’s an interesting question. Can you share a little more about what you’re seeing or wondering? When you ask where good girl conditioning ends and emotional intelligence begins, what distinction are you thinking about?
1 like • 19d
@Nikki K I love this distinction. You’re right. Rephrasing, staying reasonable, and regulating emotion can absolutely be emotional maturity. The difference (in my work) isn’t the behavior, it’s the driver. If it’s aligned and intentional, that’s maturity. If it’s fear-based and automatic, that’s conditioning. From the outside they can look identical. That shift happens internally. Beyond awareness (without shame), the deeper work is rewiring the nervous system so it actually feels safe to be direct, visible, or even just uncomfortable. Because when the nervous system feels safe, emotional regulation becomes choice not suppression. That’s where we’re going.❤️ You've got a clear grasp of the emotional issues!
