Why Healthy Fats Matter
TAKING ACTION: ✅Who loves healthy fats? Better yet, who loves low-carb days?! Share with me below! Why do healthy fat matter when it comes to both losing fat and gaining muscle? Glad you asked… Contrary to what we were told for years, healthy fats aren’t the villain. No more choosing processed foods because the box says “Low Fat” or “Zero Fat”. That’s a sales gimmick—not good health advice. 💯 Science says healthy fats—like avocados, nuts, olive oil, and fatty fish—do more than just taste good. Diets rich in monounsaturated fats (think almonds or olive oil) boost fat oxidation while preserving muscle mass. The simplest way to put it ➡️ Your body will burn fat, not your hard-earned muscle tissue. Fats also help regulate hormones like testosterone, which is key for muscle repair and growth. Even better, healthy fats lubricate your joints. But do you know what else healthy fats are great for? Energy. 💯 Healthy fats provide your body with slow and steady energy. Obviously, we heavily focus on healthy fats when we’re carb cycling; however, meeting your fat macro target every day is still important for the reasons we discussed today. They’re beneficial for preserving muscle mass, lubricating your joints, brain health, steady energy, and even your skin! 🥑 Speaking of healthy fats, check out this salmon stir-fry recipe below!
