Day 21: Light Leg Strength | December Challenge
Today is a light leg strength session. Nothing heavy or complicated. Just simple movement to build a bit more strength in the legs so everyday things like errands, walking, and getting around feel easier and more confident. Move gently, stay present, and let the strength build over time.

@Marie-Thérèse Gloor Yes!! We are surrounded by good things, if we take the time to notice them!😻

Wow, this session felt great, after working at the computer for most of the morning! I did remember to get up every half hour and stretch, so I wasn't too sore. I'm getting better at the reverse lunges--I like to turn them into curtsies. Not ready for the Texas Dip quite yet, but I'm getting there! There's some sunshine here on the shortest day of the year...I will get out in it for at least a little while, and carry that with me through the long night! Happy Solstice everyone! 😻🌞🌚
Winter Solstice Gift for the Community
Today marks the winter solstice, a natural pause and turning point. As a small gift to this community, I’m sharing the Keep Showing Up short e-book I’ve been working on with the help of a close friend of ours. It brings together simple ideas on consistency, momentum, and showing up for yourself in small, steady ways that truly change a life. I hope you enjoy reading.

Thank you for sharing your story, your mom's story, and the wisdom you have gained from the act of showing up for yourself. I will come back to this many times. 😻
Day 20: Under the Bridge 😂 | December Challenge
Today we’re moving under a bridge. The weather is challenging, but that doesn’t mean we stop showing up. This is a short and sweet session to build a bit of strength and mobility and keep the habit alive. Move today, boost your mood, and feel vibrant in your beautiful body. Consistency matters.

Loved the backdrop under the bridge! When I saw that title, my mind immediately turned to the song "Under The Bridge", by the Red Hot Chili Peppers--a beautiful song with bittersweet lyrics. I'm loving the various locations you're shooting these sessions in--anywhere is good for movement (as long as it's safe!) Happy 20th of December everyone! (Tomorrow marks the Winter Solstice for the northern hemisphere! The Sun is returning! ) 😻

Tapping Into 2025's Winter Solstice
The Winter Solstice, arriving on December 21, marks the longest night of the year—and with it, a powerful spiritual threshold. This is not simply a time of darkness, but a sacred pause: a moment to rest, reflect, and gently release what belongs to the closing year. The stillness of the solstice invites us inward, reminding us that endings are not failures, but necessary compost for renewal. Ancient cultures understood this well. The Celts called this moment Alban Arthan—the Light of Arthur—celebrating not the absence of light, but its return from the underworld. They knew what we sometimes forget: you can’t fully appreciate dawn until you’ve sat patiently with midnight. Darkness, far from being empty, is fertile ground where insight, resilience, and new life quietly take shape. The solstice marks a turning point. From here on, the days begin to lengthen, symbolizing rebirth, fresh perspective, and the slow but steady return of hope. It’s an ideal time for closure—laying down heavy burdens, releasing outdated stories, and setting simple, heartfelt intentions for what you’d like to grow next. Candlelight, fire rituals, or quiet reflection all honor this ancient rhythm of release and renewal. Above all, the Winter Solstice reminds us to slow down and listen inwardly. Let it be a gentle reset. Even in the deepest dark, the promise of light is already present—and the seeds of new ideas, dreams, and directions are quietly forming, ready for their time to rise.

I've always commemorated the Winter Solstice as the lengthening of days, rather than the longest night--the Sun returns to us, and reminds us that we cannot have Light without Darkness.
Day 19: Self-Healing | December Challenge
Today is a light, gentle, Qigong-inspired movement session. We went hard yesterday, and I loved seeing how many of you enjoyed that 'spicy' workout. Today is about easing off, moving softly, and letting the body recover. Take it easy, move gently, and go have the most amazing day.
