WELCOME TO RESOLVE SCHOOL 👋
Glad you’re here. This is a space for creators who want to actually get comfortable and fast inside DaVinci Resolve. The goal is simple: give you a clear workflow so you can stop guessing, edit faster, and finish your videos with confidence. START HERE The Classroom is where everything lives. Start with the Resolve Foundations Library. This is not meant to be watched in order. Find the specific workflow or problem you’re dealing with, apply it, and move on. The goal isn’t to learn everything. It’s to get what you need, use it immediately, and keep editing. HOW THIS COMMUNITY WORKS We don’t do random tutorials or content dumps. Everything here is built around helping you use Resolve more effectively. Each month includes: • Core Trainings - Breakdowns and system-based lessons focused on real editing workflows • 1 Live Session (Premium & VIP) - Get your questions answered and see real edits being worked through WHAT YOU’LL GET OUT OF THIS If you stick with it, you’ll: - Build a clear editing workflow inside Resolve - Stop jumping between random tutorials - Edit faster and with more confidence - Actually finish your projects INTRODUCE YOURSELF Before you jump in, drop a quick intro below: 1. What kind of videos are you editing? 2. What’s your experience level with Resolve? 3. What’s one thing you want to improve right now? Keep it simple. Focus on progress, not perfection. I’ll see you in the feed.

🔴 Live DaVinci Resolve Beginner Workshop
Quick heads up if editing still feels slow or heavier than it should, even on simple projects. Tomorrow, Friday, January 9th at 10 am EST, I’ll be on a live beginner workshop inside @Des Dreckett's Content Revenue Lab community. This isn’t about advanced features or fancy techniques. It’s about learning how to think through an edit so Resolve feels simpler and faster to work in. What I’ll be covering: 🧠 The mental shifts that make editing feel lighter 📐 An overview of a 3-pass approach to editing, so you’re not doing everything at once ✂️ Why certain cuts and decisions speed things up over time 📝 Practical examples like ripple delete silences and editing with transcript ⌨️ A few small shortcuts and trimming habits that add up quickly If you’re newer to Resolve or you’ve been using it but still feel unsure about your process, this session will help connect the dots and make editing feel more intentional. The workshop is hosted live inside Content Revenue Lab, so you’ll need to join that FREE community to attend. Hope to see some of you there 👋

@Daryl Duchatschek Accepted. Thanks for joining.
Use Curves for Instant Pop
If your color feels a little flat, try this quick trick. On the color page, open the custom curves and add a small upward point in the highlights, then add a tiny downward point in the shadows. This creates a light S curve bump that adds contrast and depth without touching any other tools. It takes less than ten seconds and works on almost any clip.Give it a try on your next edit and let me know if you see the difference.

Thanks for a great instructional video, @Andrew Farmer that's a great little trick and so simple to do.
Basic Color Grading in Resolve (Simple One-Node Walkthrough)
I finally sat down to make a really simple color grading video for beginners (Thanks to the suggestion of @Des Dreckett ). Nothing fancy, just the basics of how I think through a quick one-node grade inside the color page. I know color grading can feel overwhelming at first, especially when you open the color page and see all the wheels, scopes, and nodes staring back at you. So this video walks through how to use just one node to get your image looking more vibrant and natural, adjusting lift, gamma, gain, temperature, and checking skin tones without overcomplicating it. If you’re still getting comfortable with color in Resolve or just want a clean starting point before diving into advanced looks, I think you’ll find this helpful. If you give it a try, drop a frame grab or short clip of your before and after below, I’d love to see how your grades turn out.
