I finally sat down to make a really simple color grading video for beginners (Thanks to the suggestion of ). Nothing fancy, just the basics of how I think through a quick one-node grade inside the color page. I know color grading can feel overwhelming at first, especially when you open the color page and see all the wheels, scopes, and nodes staring back at you. So this video walks through how to use just one node to get your image looking more vibrant and natural, adjusting lift, gamma, gain, temperature, and checking skin tones without overcomplicating it.
If you’re still getting comfortable with color in Resolve or just want a clean starting point before diving into advanced looks, I think you’ll find this helpful.
If you give it a try, drop a frame grab or short clip of your before and after below, I’d love to see how your grades turn out.
