Small magazine - auction opportunity
Talking to this guy running a local magazine, sending about 10k magazines to every home in his county. He's been doing it every month for a few years, but is getting a bit burned up with it, as his advertising income isn't the greatest right now. So, now he's thinking of moving the newsletter online, and ditching the physical one. I'm thinking of running an auction as a tool to help him build his list AND possibly get control of some assets like the email list or community. Any tips on the best way to figure out what to offer on an auction? I've started reading about that county online, but I'm a tad lost here I'm excited to do a direct mail campaign :) edit: how about I just reach out to all past advertisers and ask them if they'd join in and throw some prize into an auction?
