Content Editing Experience
We, my son Troy is the author, I am a contributor, we just completed content editing. We were so nervous going into it. We were elated when it was returned. Great insight, pleasant nurturing feedback, and lots of helpful tips. No chapters needed moving. Writing weakness were identified and suggestions offered. We cannot wait to implement their suggestions. I hope if you are approaching content editing you can replace fear with wonder.

@Jedidah Queen Troy, my son and the author (I'm the marketing and promotions side of our co-creation). Troy was ask to add more of his personal story and sense of humor to the book. It's there but she thought more would be improve the book.
Happy Thanksgiving
Thank you for being here, sharing, and growing with us! We are working on some fun and valuable additions ... we can't wait to share them with you in December. In the meantime ... if you are in the US, I do hope you enjoy the holiday. Please note: the Book Launchers team is on light staffing until December 1st.

Great video, and reminder that gone are days when you used to drop down 5 levels of a category and become a best seller instantly. Time to recalibrate and be focused and patient.
Copyright Change
Hello everyone. As I am down the rabbit hole of trying to self publish. I have run into an additional problem. I had already submitted my book to US Copyright office with my old title. Its currently in the processing status. Does anyone know how I can change this since I have redone the title using the guidelines of this site? Is there a way to change it in process? Thanks.

My Day 3 Summit recap
You know how when you were in school and it was coming to the last few days of the semester, and you were hoping that the class was going to be a bit easier and slower paced, well this 3rd day was nothing like that as we were still drinking from a fire hose. 1. We started off on the Publishing Path with the #NoBoringBooks Process - this 14 step BL process is what governs the Booklaunchers process for working with all their new authors. 2. Chad and Elissa then took us through several editing styles that are needed to understand whenever you work with an editor. From Copy Editor to Fact Checkers to Proof Readers. And I learned that it is the Designer who makes the inside of your book look pretty and inviting. This gives your book the polish it needs to have its best appearance. 3. There were a couple guest speakers of which I had to step away for one of them to take a call. However, Rene Ready's story inspirational. Given her condition - yet she was still able to write a book - that story is powerful! I know I will be listening to the replay to again hear Rene's story, and the one I missed for sure. 4. Srah and Elissa then described 'How to put books in readers hands'. From multi-channel distribution to multi-format, from Direct Sales to Referrals by LLM, there are many ways to reach the goal 5. But first you have to ask yourself: what does your reader consume; where does the reader buy my book; where does my reader find new books; what metrics are important to measure; and what do you want the ability to control. 6. No matter what channel you choose you need: clear author brand, rich structure content which leads them back to your website, media and influencers talking about you, and consistency across all channels. 7. Next, they discussed the distribution channels of Ingram Sparks, KDP, D2D, Direct to Consumer, and 48 Hour Book. You all will need to see the replay and watch and understand the Pro/Con for each of these channels. Remember that you get the most royalty and most consumer data by selling direct, but it does come with some additional work too. Make sure to see the replay!

Hi Kevin, I'm Darla Mondragon, it is nice to finally "meet" you. I'm a regular viewer so hear your name often. You inspire me to rereach. My son, Troy, is actually the author, I have heavily contributed to the writing of the manuscript. The role with the book will be the marketing, promotions, and business side. I retired a couple of years ago and am ready to roll my sleeves up and get going! The summit was fantastic. Thanks for taking your time to so thoroughly explain it for those who missed it. Best, Darla

I'm a part of mother-son duo. My son, Troy, is a first-time author and I'm helping him with the marketing. Yeah ENFPs! (We are always so excitable)
