I tell everyone; I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times, and I’ll keep saying it forever. Read what you write, THEN, re-read it out loud. Say the words you have written as though you are reading your story to another person. I guarantee you will be shocked with what you hear, and the immediate improvements you can make. I don’t know why it works, but it always does 🤷‍♂️ So get reading out loud and see what you think? 📖

We, my son Troy is the author, I am a contributor, we just completed content editing. We were so nervous going into it. We were elated when it was returned. Great insight, pleasant nurturing feedback, and lots of helpful tips. No chapters needed moving. Writing weakness were identified and suggestions offered. We cannot wait to implement their suggestions. I hope if you are approaching content editing you can replace fear with wonder.

I preface this from my viewpoint in The Biz, with a couple of Songs! "By Myself" by the legendary Judy Garland, and "I'm Still Here" by Yvonne De Carlo...(please go check the videos out on YouTube!) I have always been self-sufficient and a survivor. When I moved to my current house, I bought a 12' trailer and made Many trips, 75 miles each way, and hauled everything from a two-story house...by myself! And now, with my completed book of over 800 pages (all done by Me, no AI or help from anyone else!) I find the hardest part to be all the necessary work After the pen is put down! (Yes, I Did take the advice offered here to turn the book into a Series, so I am Not Completely unreasonable and hard-headed!) But, I Don't Like relying on anyone for anything, if I can help it, and have been trying to do all the formatting, editing, etc. alone. I have found some free editing programs online that I may try, before I even consider paying someone to do it, but would welcome opinions on going this route. But really...go watch those videos! Hi, all! I'm publishing my first book now, as well.... a very powerful opus, as Volume I of my trilogy: Devia Vaticana ~ Holy Orthodoxy! A book too powerful for sponsors to sponsor, publishers to publish it & priests to review it! So, I may have to self- publish it.
