@David East always happy to see your gratitudes mate. I had to push my daughter on a bike at the same time, but that’s parenting and multitasking isn’t it. Worth it though great video!

Welcoming Dean
Yesterday I ran into a good friend and mentioned what I'm doing here in Skool. We've worked together a few times over the years and showed so much excitement about the Skool community concept. I think it's because you get the pain that organisations feel. Welcome @Dean Cox It's absolutely wonderful to have you onboard mate. There are some amazing people within this community. I fully encourage you to join communities that you can relate to. There is a ton of value to be had in this place. Thanks for coming along.

Lagging Metrics Need To Go
Next week, I'm stepping into a meeting that has the potential to affect the way we measure safety in the Air Force. If it works, it may bring significant cultural change. Instead of chasing how many accidents we've had 💥lagging indicators💥 (how most organisations have measured safety since forever), it's time to be way more proactive with tools like Learning Teams and the 4Ds as reportable 💪leading indicators💪 Can't do it alone. If you guys had the opportunity to talk to people about a generational change like this, what innovative approach would you use to get after it?

@David East This is a big moment. How exciting! I would try and keep it simple. I’d probably start with a question: Something like this… “When was the last time you saw something that could’ve gone wrong… but didn’t get reported?” That will move the room from compliance to curiosity. There are many organisations that are full of near-misses and quiet fixes (I know I see it in healthcare too!) That’s where these leading indicators live. Then I’d frame it around trust: “We can’t measure what people don’t feel safe to share.” If Learning Teams and the 4Ds are positioned as tools to listen earlier, not blame faster, you’re not just changing metrics. You’re building a culture where people speak up before someone gets hurt. That’s how cultural change sticks.

There’s Value In The Way You Make It Happen
There’s a lot of information out there, but there’s value in the way that you deliver it! This was the very first thing that Alex Hormozi said in this weeks Skool Games. Despite the fact that there are so many ways to gather information these days, if you can deliver it in the way that is compelling to your community, then you will easily get your point across. A funny thing he mentions - one definition of being a consultant is to get a glass of water from the river, then sell it to somebody. The water/information is there for everybody to share, but the consult consultant has found a way to sell it. So my question to you is, what are you doing within your community so that people are buying the glass of water off you? What is it about your community that makes people come back for more?

Growing In The Puddles
Walking home after a light rain, our little one spotted a row of puddles ahead. Visions of muddy clothes, slippery falls, or a sneaky cold flash through our minds. Unspoken decisions are washing through our minds. Do we helicopter parent, or do we let her have some fun? Sure, concerns about germs or scraped knees were with us, but the simple act of letting her jump fosters creativity, emotional regulation and a love for the outdoors that structured play often misses. We let her go. She had so much fun. Do you tend to hover, or do you allow adventure?

Our kids love getting dirty. And to be fair I don’t mind it. Like you said, helps them regulate. Kees them happy and they are forever learning. And it’s fun to watch!
