Trainer Turnover
During the Strength Forum, I ran into @Fredrick Hahn for a moment. I mentioned a former employee of his said 'hey', and Fred mentioned about the problem of employees leaving. I instantly thought: what if that was PART of the business system? Trainer turnover is disruptive to business. How can we 'bake in' a system or pattern to assist trainers transitioning out? How can this be made PART OF the process, rather than an interruption? If you employ instructors, this WILL happen. Better to make it a pleasant transition for everyone. How to do it?

Well, it's not my job to make a grown adult figure his or her life out. That said, I always will give a great review, referrals, etc. 2 issues with instructors: 1. There are no adverse consequences for an instructor if they are not doing the job well. You cannot dock their pay, nothing. 2. What can you really offer an instructor that will keep them from leaving? You can only pay so much. You can't make them a partner. So on and so forth. I'd like to hear from other instructors who work for HIT studios to discover what they feel an employer could do to keep them on forever. thoughts?
