How to talk about HIT (Max Strength Fitness)
I just LOVE this intro video from Max Strength Fitness. Not only does it inspire me to run through walls, it's an excellent example of how to talk about what you do. Jeff articulates their differentiators, workout process, and the benefits really, really well. See how you can adapt some of the ideas to your business to help you attract and retain more clients. MSF are a fast growing HIT franchise with 20 locations (6 pending) across the US. Two of their original corporate locations generate >$900k in revenue with 30% net profit margins.

What is this gold content you speak of?
Traditional strength training wins
Hey everybody I thought I'd share the study with you it's not the best study in the world but it is interesting. Of course what I like about it is strength training blew away the functional training and plyometric training groups. Hi just can't stand these functional training people! :)

What they fail to realize is that their goofy stuff usually results in increased muscular strength - and this is why it "works." But it's a poor - and dangerous method to achieve that result.
Hey y'all
Lawrence has been chasing me down about getting on here; I see it's very busy compared to the old group. Hope y'all are growing this new year!

Trainer Turnover
During the Strength Forum, I ran into @Fredrick Hahn for a moment. I mentioned a former employee of his said 'hey', and Fred mentioned about the problem of employees leaving. I instantly thought: what if that was PART of the business system? Trainer turnover is disruptive to business. How can we 'bake in' a system or pattern to assist trainers transitioning out? How can this be made PART OF the process, rather than an interruption? If you employ instructors, this WILL happen. Better to make it a pleasant transition for everyone. How to do it?

Well, it's not my job to make a grown adult figure his or her life out. That said, I always will give a great review, referrals, etc. 2 issues with instructors: 1. There are no adverse consequences for an instructor if they are not doing the job well. You cannot dock their pay, nothing. 2. What can you really offer an instructor that will keep them from leaving? You can only pay so much. You can't make them a partner. So on and so forth. I'd like to hear from other instructors who work for HIT studios to discover what they feel an employer could do to keep them on forever. thoughts?
