Learning Planet Festival January 21-28, 2026
The LearningPlanet Festival was first launched in 2020 in partnership with UNESCO. Since then, it has been organised each January to celebrate the International Day of Education, and has grown into a global movement uniting hundreds of thousands of participants from 193 countries. The goal of the LearningPlanet Festival is to foster a global movement and open coalition of diverse stakeholders โ youth, educators, organisations, and changemakers โ to reimagine the future of learning. It provides a platform to explore, share, and co-create innovative educational models that empower individuals and communities to take care of themselves, others, and the planet. Through dialogue and collaboration, the Festival aims to inspire action around key challenges such as education, youth leadership, well-being, equity, peace, technology, and planetary futures. Since 2006, the Learning Planet Institute has been dedicated to reinventing learning for all ages (lifelong learning) through collective intelligence in order to build sustainable & inclusive learning societies able to rise to the complex challenges we face. The Instituteโs mission is to explore, research and share new ways of learning and cooperating in order to respond to the needs of the youth and the planet. By encouraging and disseminating a culture, methods and tools for empowerment, it transforms organisations. Ultimately, it leads communities and supports โLearning Planetizensโ to take care of themselves, others and the planet. In 2025 InnerDevelopment@Work hosted the online workshop "What are the IDGs?" ๐In 2026 we plan to host a workshop entitled "Inner Skills for Planetary Impact: Youth & Educators Leading the Change" every other day during the festival at different times. If you are interested in co-facilitating this session OR co-creating a different topic drop a comment below between now and Monday November 10th.
