#MetricsMonday November 24
If you are new here, Metrics Monday is something I do each week on the request of the members! This week, however, I'm not really sure how to report on some of the metrics as they've changed quite a bit with the upgrade to the Skool analytics. I haven't completely decided which metrics I want to focus on and which I think are the most valuable for a free group. As well as what it would be interesting to track on a weekly bases as opposed to monthly... If you have requests, please let me know! Number of Members: 710 (+60) Number of Premium Members: 116 (+52) Percentage of members who are Premium : 16.3% (+6.6%) Number of Annual Premium Members: 43 (+43) Percentage of Premium Members who are Annual: 37% About Page Conversion: 29.9% Discovery Ranking in Money: #43 (-1) Discovery Ranking Overall: #131 (-10) So, obviously the most obvious difference in the statistics is the conversion rate, which is up 20%. The reason for this is that the metric has changed. It is now measuring unique new views instead of total views, which is much better. The other huge jump that we are seeing is in the number of premium members, the percentage of premium members, and of course, the number of annual members. I'm very happy with these numbers and I'm so glad that you are all seeing value in the Premium tier! In terms of discovery, we were holding steady at #40 and #120 all week until I started to encourage you all to post daily. I've spoken to couple of other community owners, and it seems as if when people do individual posts that don't get comments it hurts your discovery ranking whereas when people are adding a lot of comments to posts, it helps your discovery ranking! Don't let that deter you from starting new posts, though. The purpose of this group is for YOU to get more visibility, not to rank higher in discovery! Having said that, commenting on others posts is important not only for ranking in discovery but also for your own visibility in the group, so don't forget how important it is. No posting and ghosting! πŸ‘» πŸ˜‰

Fascinating about the posts with no comments, I was always curious if that made a difference!! And those numbers look great!! As far as weekly, I think average daily activities is probably the most interesting one (which isn't displayed anywhere that I know of) along with conversion rates. This will get a LOT more interesting with the new update coming hopefully soon that includes traffic reporting!

@Shannon Boyer Easiest solution is to write down each daily activity, screenshot the metrics page and toss it into chatgpt. That can give you a weekly number you can then breakdown into β€œactivities as a percentage of members” you can use if you want. From my corporate days it always came down to - does this metric change behavior of us or our users? If not then we’d get called out for bringing fluffy numbers. I do think this activity number can benefit you by creating a weighted health score!
Want a free live Skool Analytics masterclass this Weds?
After spending almost a decade helping build monday.com, I've had to report on my fair share of analytics to our c-suite team. And let me tell you guys - the new Skool analytics that just dropped last week are absolutely insane. They're exactly what we used for years at monday, and give you the insight of a billion dollar company for your community. Skool really is wild for just baking this into every plan. Thing is... there's a lot of stuff in there, numbers and terms you might not be used to. How do you use it to make informed decisions? Where should you be spending your marketing time and dollars? So I'm partnering up with fellow skooler Jenna Ostrye to make sure everyone knows how to read their numbers and act on them LIVE this coming Wednesday Nov 26th. We'll go over the basics, the common FAQs, and your own personal numbers if you want a deeper dive. If you want to listen in, join Jenna's free community with a click here! Then add the event to your calendar here. If you've got questions about your analytics, feel free to ask here and I'll answer! I'm always happy to help fellow community builders Improve Daily over at https://www.skool.com/improve

Are you discouraged because you posted in the Classifieds, got a couple of likes and no comments? Here are the secrets to successful posting: 1. Most importantly, you need to comment on other people’s posts.Β  Get noticed, make connections, find others who you have things in common with.Β  And I’m not just talking about a couple of comments here and there - I’m talking about genuinely and consistently setting aside 5-10 minutes a day to interact with others. ⏰ 2. Make your posts something that others want to read. Your headline is key and it has to hook the reader quickly. Then provide value (not a novel) or a story (again, not a novel) that is tied to your offer and how you help people. Do not just drop a link or post the same thing day after day. Appeal to your audience’s pain points or greatest desires. πŸ“° 3. Post once a day, every day. People subconsciously get a sense for who you are and what you are about by seeing your headlines on a regular basis. Only after seeing you for 4-5 times in a row will they be interested enough to click. If you post once and then don’t post again for two weeks, you will be starting over from scratch. πŸ–‡οΈ 4. Scroll and check out other posts that have gotten several comments. What do they have in common? What is something they have done that you can emulate? Was it a captivating hook, a poll, a story, sharing expertise, etc? πŸ‘ 5. This is going to sound self-serving, but it really isn’t - become a Premium member and come and meet people live online. That is where real relationships and connections form that continue into the forum. I’ve seen people join each other's groups, collaborate, interview each other, guest present in each other's groups, refer others, etc. The possibilities are endless! You can check out upcoming meet and greets (called PERSONALS - no dating involved!) on the calendar. πŸ“† Finally, remember that when you post, you are appealing to three different audiences:

@Shannon Boyer The premium link is broken! Did you mean https://www.skool.com/classifieds/plans instead of https://www.skool.com/classifieds/posts
I'd love critical feedback on the first 66 sec of my VSL
Improve Daily is all about keeping things simple, so my ask for this post is going to be just that. :) As I'm looking to flip the switch to going premium once I hit my 50th member, I'd love to know if my VSL will work for my target market of solo founders and early stage entrepreneurs. The reddit DMs are working but my goal is to use Meta to grow from an entirely cold audience. https://www.skool.com/compound-consistency-3328 Happy to return the favor for anyones group as well - I've managed an email list of 6 million with daily traffic of 50k visitors to our SaaS product back when I was in marketing, so could offer a different kind of perspective!
I'd love critical feedback on the first 66 sec of my VSL
