Global Climate meditation for COP 30 💥Sunday Nov 9, 5pm CET
On the eve of COP30 Brazil, Climate Bridges is co-organizing with its partners the Global Climate Meditation on November 9, 2025, at 5 pm CET. ✅ Christiana Figueres has already marked this event in her calendar. The IPCC, the Club of Rome, and the IPBES are clear: an inner transition is essential to accompany the ecological transition. Mindfulness practices can help cultivate both awareness and inner resilience—key capacities for the protection of our planet. This one-hour online event will allow you to: 🌟 Hear from leaders such as Satish Kumar, Elise Buckle, Charlotte Dufour and Liane Stephan on how conscious leadership, through self-awareness, responsibility, and a purpose-driven approach to guiding others, drives positive impact for people and the planet. 🧘🏽‍♀️ Join a live Mindfulness practice uniting participants worldwide for the Earth. 💪 Discover insights to deepen your eco-conscious habits and align your values with action. - Hear from global leaders on how conscious leadership, through self-awareness, responsibility, and a purpose-driven approach to guiding others, drives positive impact for people and the planet. - Join a live mindfulness practice uniting participants worldwide for the Earth. - Discover insights to deepen your eco-conscious habits and align your values with action. Who will be at the IDG Summit in Stockholm mid-October?
The IDG summit is getting closer. Only 2 weeks now... Who will be there in person this year? And who will watch online at a watch party? Add a comment below with 'in person' or 'watch party'. @Nadene Canning and I will be there and we'll organize a gathering, still need to figure out when as there's so much going on already ;-)

Hi you all, i will follow online in Frankfurt, Germany. Unfortunately, the book fair is at the same time, so i can watch many things only afterwards. I don't know from any watchparty around here.

@Nadene Canning yes it is. Fortunately, in Germany, the book-market didn't shrink.
Paper: Decolonising Inner Development: An Ethic for Re-Patterning Systems and Frameworks
Dear all, here is an attempt at consolidating the learnings from our Decolonising Inner Development conversation series: https://medium.com/rukmini-iyer/decolonising-inner-development-an-ethic-for-re-patterning-systems-and-frameworks-332bd657c8c2 Thank you so much for engaging with this work! I really value it.

Thank you very much for this work and your sharing of it. This kind of thinking is not only helpful for people who has been colonized, but for us all. Intellectual modesty and an awareness of the limitations of one's own approach are always helpful, everywhere. May I ask a question right away? I am working on a book project: “The Myth of the Self in Western Culture.” It includes a chapter entitled “Other Perspectives,” which deals considerably with the self-concept of people in indigenous cultures. Do you know anyone who would be willing to look at the material I have collected for this chapter? I am writing the book in German, but I would translate the material.
Apologies for my current withdrawal
Hello Community, I have been taking some time off recently because I am working on a book. It has the working title “The Myth of the Self in Western Culture” and will likely take at least the next 18 months to complete. I ask for your understanding and will be following things from the sidelines. If anyone is interested in discussing this further, here is a brief summary: What does it mean when we believe that there is a true self within us—and that our purpose in life is to find it and remain true to it? This culturally deeply rooted self-image shapes our ideas of identity, authenticity, and freedom—yet it is increasingly at odds with current findings in psychology, neuroscience, and systems theory. This book traces how this Western myth of the self came about, how it works, and what we know about the self from a scientific perspective today. It describes other conceptions of the self that are more relational, contextual, and ecologically embedded, and shows ways to open up our self-understanding for a future in which needs, relationships, and connectedness to a living world are brought into balance. I am writing the book in German. At the moment, I'm still thinking about it and have a lot to figure out for myself. In Chapter 4, “Development Opportunities,” i discuss the IDGs. However, i am happy to discuss it in English if anyone would like to. My email address is ruth@zufriedenleben.eu I wish you all a rewarding time. Ruth

This is really great. Thank you very very much.🌹 Because I am interested in the development possibilities of the (western) concept of the self - which psychological theories are the IDGs related to? I assume to the concept "Intraconnected" by Daniel Siegel. And what else?
