Not sure what the Persona and Style pickers in evyAI do? This short guide explains it. Get it right and you will spend less time fixing your posts. Persona = who you are. Style = how you sound and the format your writing comes out in. You can pick both in two places: • Create > Text in the evyAI web app. Here you will also see Goal and Tone pickers. Goal is what you want the writing to do. Tone is the feeling, like friendly or professional. • The AI Writer in the evyAI Chrome extension. You do not have to pick a persona or a style. There is no default. If you skip them, evyAI uses its own built-in instructions. What a Persona is A persona tells evyAI who is writing. It has three parts: • Name: how it shows up in the picker. Make it clear, like "Dana Reyes, Recruiter." • Type: Person or Company. Pick Company when you write for a brand. • Background: one box where you describe yourself. Add your role, your story, who you help, what you offer, and real results. What a Style is A style tells evyAI how you sound and what shape the writing takes. Its settings: • Name and Use case: when you use this style • Level of detail: Summary, Moderate, or In-depth • Character count: how long the writing can be • Emojis: on or off • Writing format: Add headings, Bullet list, Text highlight, Pull quote, Pro tip, Insert clickable links • Writing tools: Data driven, Real examples, Use metaphor, Add dialogue, Tell story, Ask questions • Free text: any extra instructions, like how you want to sound • Preview: shows the instructions your settings create One persona can work with many styles. Same you, different job. What about Settings > User Profile? You can also tell evyAI about yourself in Settings > User Profile. This is mainly for the evyAI Agent. Think of it as a persona and a style in one. The big lesson: keep task rules out of your persona Here is the most common mistake. Someone makes a persona called "LinkedIn Comment Joe" and fills it with comment rules. Then come "DM Joe" and "Newsletter Joe." Soon there are ten copies of the same person, each a little different.
