A confession.
I have not been able to show up in this wonderful community ... The reason ? My mother is getting cancer treatment. Since then I have been following her like a shadow. Words can't explain the pain . Don't feel to write more . I just think I am where I need to be . Somehow , I managed to sit down and hand copy one of David Ogilvy's Ads. Breakdown of this Ad is in Google docs . I took screenshots of the ad section wise, pasted in docs and broke it down accordingly. Here is the link : Ad breakdown . https://docs.google.com/document/d/1wuGn8Srzbywq2E5MowKTicGr1ixYI39ix0JGesssGOQ/edit?usp=drivesdk I think it will be helpful .

20 Ways to Increase the Selling Power of Your Copy
[COPY AND PASTE INTO A GOOGLE DOC FOR EASY ACCESS] Back in 2024 I read John Caples Tested Advertising Methods... and wrote a lengthy Google Doc including the following notes. They have been under dust in an old Google Drive for the past 2 years and I thought it's time to share with a small group (you guys!)... Hope you find them helpful! Keep killing it! 20 Ways to increase the selling power of your copy: 1. Use the present tense, second person. Make sure to say what they will be feeling as if they are feeling it now. E.g., instead of “People will enjoy a sense of security when they choose [X]”. Say “You enjoy a sense of security when you use [X]”. 2. Use Subheadings. Subheadings get copy read that otherwise might not be read. They tell a story in brief form. This form of copy is an attack on passive glancers and skim-readers. 3. Put Captions under illustrations. Captions have high readership because they ADD to the appeal and interest of the illustration. More people read the captions under illustrations than the body copy. Most Captions should include the brand name and a promise. 4. Use a simple style of writing. Think KISS; KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID! 5. Choose simple words. Reduces the time taken for the reader to understand what you're saying. It is less energy-consuming for the reader to understand the message. Note a reader or listener has at each moment but a limited amount of mental power available. To recognize and interpret the symbols presented to him requires part of this power; to arrange and respond requires a further part. USE SHORT WORDS TO TALK WITH.  6. Give Free Information. Giving free value to your audience is paramount to exceeding the expectations of the reader. Free information paired with sales talk in copy arouses high interest. 7. Decide on whether to use Selling or Style copy. Advertisers who can trace results from their ads use selling copy. Style copy is riskier and is based on the presumption that customers enjoy Style copy.

Lauchpad Update: New VIP Winner, Important Question, SPSH Bonus
VIP Winner: Congratulations @Benjamin Villette on winning this week's engagement competition. Since Benjamin is already a paying Premium member ($50/month), he gets automatically upgraded to the VIP membership ($500/month). The VIP membership includes: - Everything in Premium - WhatsApp access to me - 1-on-1 coaching call with me once a month for 1 hour - Free tickets to any in-person events we host *** New Bonus for Semi-Passive Side Hustle: I've added a bonus resource in Semi-Passive Side Hustle. The 1-Sentence Clientless Copywriter Business Plan by Ben Settle This is a short audio training but it's packed with 2 decades of Ben Settle's wisdom and experience. It's the foundation of everything I'll be teaching you in Semi-Passive Side Hustle. *** Important Question: Why did you become a copywriter? What made you decide, hey, I’m going to write words that sell things? Be honest. No, seriously. Be brutally honest. Thousands of copywriters have lied to themselves about this. And they’re miserable because of it. If you lie about your reasons, you’re only lying to yourself. Your honesty, on the other hand, frees you. It may even free you from a life of copywriting. So why did you become a copywriter? 1. I wanted a way to make money online and copywriting looked easiest → (click the link) 2. I love writing and copywriting looked like a good way to get paid to do it → (click the link) *** Final Reminder to join Semi-Passive Side Hustle I'm going to show you how to do affiliate marketing as a copywriter. The first live session is tomorrow at 2 pm EST. I'll be teaching the course for 5 days. If you can't make it live, the recordings will be uploaded 24 to 48 hours after the live session. If you'd like to join us, here are all the details (click the link.)

Static Ad Win - Creative Strategy
Wrote a static ad for a dental teeth whitening brand, which is #1 in their ad account for 13 days straight. Stats: Amount spent: £2739 Purchases: 228 ROAS: 2.52x I'm pretty sure it'll cross 300 purchases in the next week, and hopefully 400 by mid of next month. Cold traffic is teaching me a lot when it comes to direct repose copy and testing... One of which is understanding your market awareness level and sophistication level before writing a single word of copy.

Idea creation....
As a beginner copywriter i always had questions, And asking questions is the process of learning, But there is a question that i can't find any answer from searching or watching vids, The question is "How should I come up with ideas for copy?". Going specifically I'll ask : "How should I get 100s of ideas for one product and same pain point?" I still didn't get the answer. I've searched everywhere but still didn't get one, Help me or tell me your solution as a experienced copywriters.
