In the Bible, Babylon is a picture of being stuck – trapped in a place you don’t want to stay.
We’ve all got our own version of that.
Maybe it’s:
- A habit you can’t seem to break
- Someone you love who keeps making self-destructive choices
- Stress, anxiety or low mood that feels heavy and constant
- A cycle you keep slipping back into, even though you know it’s not helping you
Whatever it is, you’re not alone – and you’re not locked there forever.
Change often starts with three simple things:
- Honesty – admitting to yourself what your “Babylon” is.
- Support – letting others walk with you instead of doing it solo.
- Hope – believing there is a way forward, even if you can’t see it yet.
For some of us, that hope is in God. For others, it’s community, counselling, or small daily habits that move us toward a healthier life.
If you’re comfortable, drop a comment:
“I’m working on my ‘Babylon’.”
No details needed – just a sign that you’re choosing growth over staying stuck. We’re in this together. 💚
