When we dream of writing a book, we hope that it will be meaningful/helpful to someone some day. Most of us will never meet or hear from our readers... but the rare occasions are treasures.
This week I got 2 messages from a reader... it is easily the highlight of my month.
He was asking if my book, DATE YOURSELF (obviously written by a woman and primarily for women) could be useful to a him, as a man... 📥 "Can your book help me?" he wrote.
📥 "I bought your book...The intro hits the nail on the head for me."
📥 "So cool to hear back from an author of a book, one I want to read at that."
Until you write your book, you will never know who needs it... and they will continue to stay stuck without your act of courage and love.
I often say, "Writing a book is the greatest act of faith and love I have ever known."
FAITH because we create something with the hope it will find its intended audience (that the people who need it will some how find it in the wide world)
LOVE because we have to face our own demons to get there... and we do so for the possibility of helping a total stranger we will never meet.
WHO NEEDS YOUR BOOK?
Will you write it fore them? (even if you never know what it meant to them?)...
