Two years ago, I found the Fast 40 program. My results were amazing as I lost a total of 19 inches. Over the past two years, the weight has stayed off and I am now a size 4 weighing 155lbs at 5’10”. The journey has been amazing and learning to truly love yourself has been the greatest gift! I still eat a ton of food, lol. Most people gasp and comment at the amount I eat. It's Friday, and I want to remind you of something that catches a lot of people off guard. For many people, everything changes when the weekend arrives. I've had clients tell me, "I don't understand it. I do everything right during the week, but every weekend the scale goes up." The first assumption is usually that they ate too much. But that's not always what's happening. Sometimes your weekend simply looks different. Maybe you're gardening, walking more, hiking, playing with the kids, or spending hours outside. You're burning more energy than you normally do during the week. HERE'S WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING If your activity increases but you don't adjust your nutrition to match what your body needs, you can create more stress on your system than you realize. FAST40 isn't about eating less and hoping for the best. It's about giving your body what it needs so it feels safe enough to burn fat instead of protecting it. That's why I don't ask you to chase perfection. - I ask you to pay attention. - Every day your body is giving you feedback. - Are you getting hungry sooner? - Is your energy dropping? - Are you feeling more satisfied than usual? Your Liver Doesn't Burn Fat Alone, It Processes It
I want to share something with you this morning that I think is going to completely change the way you look at your health, and why what we're doing together in FAST40 is so different from anything you've tried before. Did you know your body makes over 50 hormones? Fifty. And they are all working together in this incredibly intelligent, interconnected web, regulating your energy, your mood, your metabolism, your sleep, your hunger, your libido, your stress response, your body composition. All of it. Now here's what I want you to notice. Of those 50-plus hormones... the ones that get tested at your doctor's office? The ones that get checked? They're almost exclusively the ones that have a drug to replace them. Thyroid. Estrogen. Progesterone. Testosterone. Insulin. That's it. That's the list. Not because those are the only important ones. But because that's where the prescription is. That's the model. Test what you can treat with a pill or a patch and send you home. But what about cortisol rhythm? Leptin? Ghrelin? Melatonin? Oxytocin? Growth hormone? Adiponectin? These hormones are profoundly affecting how you feel and how your body holds or burns fat, and nobody's talking about them. Here's the most important thing I want you to understand this morning. A hormone is a messenger. That's it. It's a signal. It's your body sending you a message that something upstream needs attention. When your estrogen is off, when your cortisol is chronically elevated, when your thyroid is sluggish, those aren't causes. Those are effects. Your body is waving a flag saying, something in the environment I'm living in isn't right. And what does conventional medicine do? It silences the messenger. It replaces the signal with a synthetic version and calls it balanced. But here's the truth no hormone taken from the outside ever creates true balance. The research on this goes back decades. You give estrogen, you affect progesterone. You add testosterone, you shift something else. The body is always trying to compensate.
